  1. I watched Oklahoma a number of times, and he's a decent player but played behind their best player. Cortes is a true PG and more than good enough to play here.

  3. If we win like all of our games... we should be able to jump up a sport or two I would think. Maybe even reach the high 50's.

  4. My expectation for this coming season seems excessive; but it really isn't: - put a team on the floor that is a joy to watch (like this past season) - top half of league - NCAA tournament with minimum of one win. Seriously, this is not unreasonable.

  7. Missing Sam and Allison W unfortunately, may be the difference. Hopefully both the Kendall's, Hake, and Maddie hopefully can fill the gap. The bench has been looking improved recently. Or it might be a long night. To bad it's not on a neutral court. We definitely have a good chance. The super 16 is down to the better teams. We're one of those teams, and on any given night we're pretty darn good.

  11. I saw the list of schools and it piqued my interest about why only mid-majors are recruiting. Guy was a 4 star pg and shot 51% from 3 in HS and 81% at the FT line. In college in very limited PT he's shooting 50% from 3. He actually played against us for 17 minutes and had a good stat line. Would have to see how he plays but his composite from HS looks an awful lot like Parker Fredrickson.

  12. Great guard play takes you a long way plus a lot of good fortune. I remember Lee Alcindor and UCLA in 68 were fortunate to beat a Drake team that featured Willie Wise, Willie McCarter and Dolph Pulliam.

  13. Guessing he leaked interest on purpose as a middle finger to the new AD and maybe get a raise. He also recently tweeted a picture of him and Bruce Rasmussen a couple days ago, probably not a coincidence

  14. Have seen reports that Balogun might be Orlando currently. He was not invited to England camp and dropped out of ther U21 camp I believe. Will be interesting to see how the boys do this next week back on the pitch together after that R16 exit in Qatar. Also, SKC has stunk so far this year, so there's that.

I had no idea the bureaucrats at DHS were involved. I figured it was the bureaucrats at the NCAA. I would think DHS would be more concerned with Feinstein's Chinese spy limo driver, Eric Swalwell banging a Chinese spy, McConnel's ties to the CCP and Lindsey Graham's ties to Ukraine. But, no. Just like the Creighton game, got a feeling we win this bitch and it will be without help from the D.C. elites.

I know that NIL money is a factor, and perhaps a big factor. However, I thought I read that the players we bring in may be a bigger factor? I have a strong belief that Keisei would love to showcase his skills on a huge stage...such as the NCAA dance stage. For Keisei to remain, we need to secure some talented studs. Will it happen?

From today's LJS: : "Nebraska will probably have to take on the challenge without senior guard Sam Haiby. ..... Willams would not answer when asked if she received the good news she was hoping for regarding Haiby. .... "We're just kind of keeping it to be determined" Williams said". Hmmmm.

  38. I think for us to ever build a team that is able to consistently push the 20 win mark and hopefully receive tournament berths we need to value 3 things highly. Rebounding, 3 point shooting, and free throws in that order. Everything we do needs to be based around winning the rebounding battle every time we step on the court. Ontop of a lot of other things that feels like what has really doomed us the last decade and a half.

  39. Agree with that too but I’m pretty sure the new AD and him are not tight. If the president is Pearlman (painful to even type his name) the AD is Eichorst

  43. Doesn't hurt to have a some luck/catch a break. The FAU/Memphis game was some of the sloppiest/least fundamental games I've watched in quite some time. But Memphis appears to secure loose ball and calls time out during scramble. Refs say it was a held ball and with FAU getting possession and hit go ahead/game winning shot.

    NCAA vs. NIT

A repeat win is a very tall order indeed. Compared to the 3 OT win in December, three things have changed. 1) the home court switch; 2) the revenge factor; 3) in December the Huskers had both Haiby and Wiedner - Thursday we will have neither. This is a great opportunity for Callin and the two Kendalls to have career performances, carry that momentum into the rest of the tourney and come back as force factors in '23-'24.
