  1. Beside Rice and Diop, we also have Ahron Ulis (transfer point guard from Iowa) on our roster and he will be eligible next year. He'll bring three year's experience playing in the BIG 10 conference plus a redshirt year learning our system.

  2. Really excited to see the continued development of Jamarcus. 12 assists vs 0 turnovers in the last 3 games

  3. We played well enough to win; yet playing like that moving forward likely will end poorly. I really like Jawan; but he has to learn that not all open 3's are good shots. Just saying. Rebounding was bad. We gave up way to many offensive rebounds/2nd chance opportunities. Keisei was perfect from the floor and the line. Yet, what the hell, get him the ball. He did not get enough shots today.

  4. Glad to see we only missed one FT. just sloopy play all around IMHO. The team looked disinterested in playing today.

  6. Force of habit I suppose. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen the Rock Bottom thread rear its ugly head.

  8. All wins are good wins. There was no energy in the building today, both from the team and the fans. I’m hopeful that in the future the crowd can provide that energy when the team is playing a little sluggish. It seems to me that BW does not want to ever pass the ball to Keisei. There were a couple games early where Keisei was forcing it a lot, but today he was clearly looking to get others there shot and move the ball. Something has to get figured out here. I’m a little bummed that Lloyd didn’t get to play. I’m curious if he has anything that he can offer the rotation, and he just needs his chance to crack into it, or if he is just not quite ready for this level yet. Jones for CSF can score. I really hope this injury doesn’t linger as I hope they can win a few games this year and help our SOS.

Yes that was Stringer's national championship at Rutgers. Imus lost he job the day after for calling the Rutgers team a bunch of nappy headed hos.

  19. Coleman was sloppy with the ball. 4 turnovers in 9 minutes is not a good ratio. Lawrence 6 assists 0 turnovers. Struggled shooting, though.

  20. I'll take a 13 point victory any day. We just went through a seven game streak where we were expected to win every game. In years past, we don't. Free throw shooting and rebounding looks really good. KT has another week to get healthier. Ankles take time. I can't wait for next week!

  25. I don't think we see these refs in the Big 10. Hoiberg doesn't touch Jones on a 3 point shot (also let's him land) and it's a foul. Hoiberg nearly gets his arm ripped out of socket, is not a foul.

If she would have tried that against the old Vivian Stringer Rutger teams, she would have been clocked. Might be a player or two in the BIG that would drop her in her tracks.

  30. Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-0) vs Cal St. Fullerton Titans (2-3) Date: Sunday Nov 26, 2023 Time: 1:00 pm Arena: PBA Broadcast: BTN+ California State University, Fullerton Head Coach: Dedrique Taylor (11th year) Location: Fullerton, CA Conference: Big West Nickname: Titans Mascot: Tuffy the Titan (an elephant) Last time out: Defeated Rider Clothes not to wear: Blue, Orange, Dumbo KenPom Ranking: 209 Opening Line: Nebraska by 16.5 Nota bene: Nebraska is 2-0 all time vs Cal St. Fullerton with the smallest margin of victory at 24 points Nebraska is looking to start 7-0 for the first time in over 30 years (92-93 season) Bruce Bowen played for the Titans from 89-93 This was the team that Latrell Wrightsell played for last season KenPom most used lineup PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 7 DJ Brewton 6-3 200 Sr 2 Max Jones 6-4 210 Jr 21 Grayson Carper 6-6 195 Jr 32 John Mikey Square 6-6 225 Jr 13 Vincent Lee 6-9 235 Sr 11.6 Player to watch: Max Jones Jones has gone from a secondary scorer to the primary scorer and his shooting percentages have plummeted. Jones gets to the FT at an elite level. Others to watch Vincent Lee converts at high percentage inside and this year he's a perfect 16-16. F/C John Mikey Square has also not missed this season...though that's because he's yet to take a shot. JMS has mostly been in foul trouble or ineffective. Assists and steals leader DJ Brewton is the second leading scorer. He's a terrible shot though so it's typically volume scoring at best. On one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in D-1, Grayson Carper is arguably their best shooter. 6'2" SG Donovan Oday is a scoring option off the bench. One missing piece is returning Big West defensive player of the year Tory San Antonio. The 6'3" senior guard has been unavailable for unknown reasons thus far but would be a boost on both sides of the floor if he played today. UNL Game Notes Roster/infirmary report Out indefinitely 5 Ahron Ulis 6-3 190 lbs Junior - Likely out for the season 15 Blaise Keita 6-11 257 lbs Junior - Ongoing ankle injury recovery Possible starters for Nebraska 10 Jamarques Lawrence 6-3 183 lbs Sophomore 30 Keisei Tominaga 6-2 179 lbs Senior 3 Brice Williams 6-7 213 lbs Junior 53 Josiah Allick 6-8 231 lbs Senior 51 Rienk Mast 6-10 248 lbs Junior Bench 4 Juwan Gary 6-6 221 lbs Junior 0 C.J. Dedrique Taylor has a very good track record with the Titans and likely will have them playing better ball as the season wears on. Right now, it's a WIP. The Titans have traditionally been a defensive team under Taylor and typically will try to take away inside looks. Expect Nebraska to continue its outside barrage. Offensively, CSF is a dribble drive type offense with shoddy 3pt shooting....a recipe for disaster against the Huskers. The Titans will attempt to draw contact and score at the FT line....this could get ugly as Nebraska under Hoiberg tends to defend without fouling. Let's punt on trap game talk until December Prediction: Nebraska 74 - Cal St. Fullerton 54 View full article

  34. Cal State is coming in with a losing record, but they did win their last time out. That was a win versus Southern Mississippi. Player to watch seems to be Max Jones. A good match up for Williams or Gary...

  38. My favorite part of Wednesday was that FH was locked in and pissed about stuff. He lit into the guys once, sat KT for quite a while, and knew he had to be on refs all game. All that and he kept the team together. 10/10 coach.

  40. Haven't seen an opposing coach try that hard to get a T against us since Wyoming coach Benny Dees in 1989. Towards the end of the game they were losing badly to us, he was doing everything he could do to get tossed, and the refs weren't having it. So the pep band (who were situated right next to the visitors bench - the last year that was allowed, btw) were yelling over to Dees saying "hey coach, give 'em one of these" with our hands around our neck. He smiled at us as if to say "watch this", and turned towards the ref and gave him the choke sign and got immediately tossed. As he walked past the band towards the visitor's locker room at Devaney he gave us all a high five and disappeared into the tunnel. I will never forget that day, it's one of my all time favorite Husker hoops memories!

  41. Considering Tominaga hadn't made a FT in his prior games, that he gained 9 extra points from the line last night felt huge in the moment. Keisei is NU's #1 threat, and everybody knows it. That helps Brice & Juwan a lot !!

  42. This might dampen the early “chirping” out of Omaha but it shouldn’t affect our overall Mission or Focus. Creighton walks out of Lincoln a Loser.

  43. Agreed, plus with that attention going there our other guys are getting to flow and cook and KT still had kind of a quiet 23. That’s a good thing.

  44. 4 things jumped out to me: 2 turnovers against a team that played that physical is insane. One of the most efficient stretches of offensive basketball for the majority of the 2nd half I think I've ever seen NU have. Juwan Gary's step forward from where he was at this time last year is incredible. Our depth is legitimate. All 9 of those guys deserve to be on the floor. We caught a bit of a break that the refs decided to call the game almost completely differently to start the 2nd half than they did in the 1st half, but we took full advantage - not something we've always done. That's back to back very impressive wins. I like where we're at.
