On paper this should not have been possible. 
 

Omaha has been a house of horrors for us over the past 15+ years. This was supposed to be their best team in school history. This was supposed to be our worst team in school history. And yet…

Great day for husker basketball!  Men beat rated Creighton and the ladies beat rated Maryland.  Both teams broke losing streaks against their opponent and both games were on the road.

 

WOWSER!!!

My take away...is it too early to start talking about Quad 1 wins

Can't wait to see the Kenpom bump.

 

Love that we are a bad loss for them.

 

Love that we knocked them out of the top 10. Maybe even out of the top 25.

 

Love that they'll get a worse seed in whatever tournament because of losing to us.

The only downfall is we have to cheer for Creighton the rest of the year to make this win look good.  A piece of me is going to die doing that.

We did a lot of stuff right; but make no mistake, we didn't play our best game.  Far from it.  Individual players carried us offensively.  A couple of our shooters were rather dreadful. 

Our defense was tough, it was gritty and we played the style of game necessary to win.

I'm betting Creighton fans are melting down!
