Excellent article. For those that opined about his five game absence at the beginning of the season, the rumors are dispelled here. Heck of a man and player! He has been a pleasure to watch and will be missed on multiple levels. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/how-nebraskas-derrick-walker-got-out-of-the-dark-place-and-began-playing-his-best/article_47d9c093-3635-5a00-a965-93f4b26d8c89.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share9 points -

Exactly - I especially loved today when he was feeding Walker in the post, he always took a purpose dribble to improve the angle before he made the feed. No lazy pass, no poor-angle pass. He made sure he was in the perfect spot to make the pass without risk of turnover. Just little things that you have to be a gym rat to do correctly every time.5 points -

On a day that Walker and Tominaga didn't have their best games, we got solid game from Breidenbach, good games from Lawrence and Wilcher and awesome games from the two Sam's. Add in good minutes from Oleg and Dawson and well, bring on Sparty.4 points -

Ha - just saw Fred's postgame interview on BTN. "Ben Johnson is doing an amazing job, etc, etc, etc..." Sure is nice to have our coach be the one to heap false praise on the coach of the team that's in last place for a change.4 points -

Very physical game and a good job (I thought) by the refs of letting the game play out. Once again it appeared Keisei had issues with cramps. Those buggers are getting a tad worrisome. Everyone who played had good contributions. Great to see. Especially great to see Oleg with some good minutes given his parents are in town. Man, Sam Hoiberg does a lot of little things well, and quite frankly, many big things too. Big cheers today for the couple Dylan Riola appearances...a Rhule shot and numerous shots of Mr. And Mrs. Tominaga appearances. Man he is a big dude...and she is a small lady. Did I mention he is huge. Heck, Oleg's parents are 6'11 and 6'4...so BIG parents. By the way, a certain recruit that was directly behind our bench was pretty darn tall as well. Nice win men. Keep it going!4 points -

I did feel Minnesota had a very good game plan and we were fortunate to win this one. We always seemed to have an answer when they cut it close!! fyi I was listening to post game and Fred said they were taking keisei and Oleg and their parents out for supper tomorrow night. That would be a very interesting table to sit at! Lol3 points -

Give the kid credit for making the most of his opportunity. I was dead wrong about the depth on this team and was critical about our depth after Bandoumel and Gary went down and it looked bleak. Credit to the coaching staff for developing our depth. Sam H. and JLaw look like great pieces for years to come and I would have questioned my own sanity for thinking that three weeks ago.3 points -
I was at the game and it was just as you described. There was 3 plays in a row where they just mugged us out front and no call. Getting a technical is one thing but the timing was disastrous. It was a 5 pt. turn around but could have been a 7 point one if we make a buzzer beater without the technical. Momentum just handed to them. That being said I listened to the Amy and Matt post game interview hoping for a bit of explanation from her something like "I just got very frustrated and getting a technical is never good but the timing on that one really cost us some momentum." In other words take some blame for a poor decision.2 points

This may well be another of NW's chaos full court street ball fiascos. I hate these kinds of teams. Hated them when I used to coach. Endless fouling instead of playing the game. Maybe I'm wrong...hope so. We can not lose to a 2 win B1G team Hope some of these "seniors" come back next year, but...if not we will move on and conquer. ...Buy that?2 points

Seriously, that was disturbing. He has some really bad underlying emotional problems. Fran's tenure is not going to end well. I know he's a coward deep down, but one of these times his 'boys' aren't going to hold him back, and he's going to forget that it's all an act and take a swing at someone. I see a Woody Hayes finish coming.2 points -

Great effort today when the 3s weren't falling and when Keisei was struggling with cramps and when Minny just refused to lay down. So many different guys stepped up, very impressive. I don't think anyone played poorly. Great job doing what we were expected to do today. The stakes go up big time Tuesday night. These seniors deserve to go out with a win, so we need to make it happen.2 points
