So many options....so many memories.  However, the one that rises to the top for me is Rich King since I knew him personally when he was in high school.  It also helps that he was a part of the best era of Husker Hoops.

I met him at my church when he was a senior in high school and I was in 6th grade.  That was a big reason I became such a die hard Husker basketball fan.  He was one tall dude.

He’s one of the former players I’d really like to see come back for Legends Weekend.  I can’t say that I’ve ever seen him come back to Lincoln.

Rich King is up in Seattle.  Must have fallen in love with location.  My son-in-law and daughter live up there as well.  Cool location.  At one time he dabbled in real estate.  Did you know his real name is Tom???

Rich came to the reunion at P.O. Pears in the early days of HHC. He was working for Boeing in Seattle at that time since his pro career never panned out. I once purchased a jersey which Danny Nee donated at an auction and told everyone it was an old one of King's. When I got it home and looked a little closer the next morning, I realized it almost fit me (and I am no where near 7' tall!). Danny was the ultimate flim-flam man- probably why we was a good recruiter.

Bruce Chubick has to be #1 for me - played against him in high school and still have a personal connection.

Others would include Clifford Scales, Ryan Anderson, Shavon Shields, Erick Strickland.

a little late to the party but im going with glynn watson because I wasnt alive to watch most of the guys everyone is talking about. wouldve loved to be alive in the 90s when basketball and football were actually winning most of the games they played 😕 but i feel like the future is bright for both!

Been a diehard since the early 90’s. Season ticket holder since 1990. So many awesome players. But personally, it will always be Keisei. Not heralded, not a five star, overcame not speaking much English and adjusting to Nebraska culture, but the pure joy and enthusiasm he showed was infectious. Will always be grateful I got to see him play and shine at PBA

The ‘65 Huskers of Grant Simmons, Stuart Lantz, Tom Baack, Willie Campbell and Nate Branch is still my favorite Husker Team.  If the NCAA admitted more than conference champions back then we wouldn’t be cursed with never winning a tournament game.

Would probably have to go with Erik Strickland - but high honorable mentions to Greg Downing and Claude Renfro.   Also Dave Hoppen is one I would mention.

In the more recent era - Derrick Walker.
