I hope Gary's shoulder is ok, Seemed to be causing him a lot of discomfort. Williams and Tominaga played much better together I thought. -
Is Hoiberg the coach of this team next year?

Based on our history it is. You think a successful blue blood coach would recommend an up and comer take this job? I don't. Based on facilities, fan support, quality of life in Lincoln. No it is not the worst power 6 job. You are correct. My statement was oversimplified. -

All I know is Trev Alberts just had his salary doubled. He is currently the AD of the worst P5 football team (based on bowl appearances) and worst P6 basketball team in the nation. Good grief. -

sorry about that. -
I'd give Sam H a shot at the point. What do we have to lose?

i think getting a good coach here is next to impossible. We are the worst power 6 job. I think the only way is to succeed is maybe luck into a coach like Ole Miss lucked into Chris Beard. No up and comer is going to come here. Career killer. Fortunately I did not watch this disaster. I am still seething over Sunday's debacle. -

I hope they look at Isa Silva from Stanford.

FWIW Washut said tonight Steadman was a finalist, but did not get it.

Don't mean to hijack the thread. But this guy was the first thing to pop into my head when I saw the thread.

From watching some highlights, he is a true point guard. Looks to pass first. His release on his jump shot looks a little low, but I am no expert on that. He does make some nice steals as well. Really a nice looking player.

Really appreciate what Trey did here. Played hard, played both ends of the floor and was a good teammate. Had some very impressive dunks. Hope he makes it in the NBA, but if not, I think he will have a great career overseas.

I'd take it.

I was all in on Moos and all of his hires (especially Frost and Hoiberg). But I think it is was pretty obvious after making the hires, he did very little. Spending all his time on his ranch was unacceptable. Rarely going to games or practice, He seemed to take pride in that. I about lost it when I heard he had a fireplace installed in the AD's office. What a joke. Nebraska athletics will continue to fail as long as the number one motivation is money and not winning. Not sure if Trev Alberts gets it or not. I was not. a fan of the hire, but so far, I think he has done ok. Wish he would not talk to the press so often, but Nebraska has many more issues than that.

I wonder how much longer he plans on coaching. He recruits like he plans on staying, but man he looks disinterested. Every time out last night, he talked to the team for maybe 1/2 the timeout and then the players just stood on the court for about 2 minutes. I think he called 3 timeouts in about 5 minutes and each time out he did this.. It was baffling. Meanwhile, Michigan was in the huddle the entire time out, you know, getting coached.

2022 PF Jasen Green -> Creighton
imnothipp replied to Norm Peterson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
A buddy of mine is a local ref (and not an NU fan). He has had a couple of Green's games this summer. Says he looks terrific. -
That kid is a stud. Just don't see point guards like him anymore. Pass first. Does not seem to be looking for his shot as much as looking for the right play. And his passes just seem like they are so easy to handle. Would be a great get.
