We are in the semifinals with a very impressive performance. That 17-0 run before half took the heart out of IU. It’s a tough task tomorrow but I want to be playing Sunday.

The good news is that we should still be pretty fresh for tomorrow's game. Hey...we can do this.

Wanted to mention how many good minutes Diop gave us - he got really lost on defense only once, but he battled in there overall. And that little baseline jumper was pure. For someone who's played as little as he has, to be on that stage and look like he belonged against Illinois' front line was nice to see. It'll be a big offseason for him developmentally.

We had a blast at Lyon's Pub last night. 80% Husker fans and Luke Gifford, Gerald Foster and Brandon Reilly were there with old guys buying them drinks. After seeing both teams play up close last night ,we are not losing to Illinois today. We may lose to Purdue tomorrow but we are not losing today. #GBR

It should not go unnoticed that during our 17-0 run we were playing suffocating defense. At no point did we have a defensive breakdown. Absolutely brilliant coaching by HCFH! HCFH stayed with the hot hands in Bryce and KT. Why didn’t we go to the rim much in this game, because we didn’t have to. When did we go to the rim, in the second half when we are up by 20 and IU was standing flat footed guarding against the 3. We opportunistically would run and then walk the ball up the court. We burned clock in the second half while still scoring 43. We have broken the Hoosiers. After the game, and as it was ending we acted like this was just step one. There was barely any celebration. This looked like a team on a mission. JA, JG, RM did some serious work on boards. Those whole weekend has been set up for us to go to the Championship and broken exactly how I wanted it to break.
