If half of the information is correct regarding how Coach Williams handle the situation, her job could be in serious jeopardy. It should be easy to verify as the whole team was present for the meeting. Even though Ashley was an adult and may have consented in the relationship, Love had power and control over her and she is the victim in my opinion. And I am about as conservative as they come. It is never okay for a coach to engage in sexual activity with a member of the team. It amazes me that people think they can get away with developing this type of relationships. Even District Attorneys are not immune to total stupidity.5 points -

We have to hope the PBA effect continues because I don’t like the matchups with Rutgers and Minnesota. I think Indiana is our best bet for that road win.3 points -
Just hope this doesn’t distract this years team. We’ve got a nice season going so far. I remember that PSU game. It was awful. You could tell the entire team was in a massive funk.3 points

Exactly. See, though I don't understand how they come up with it, I remember ppl like @49r patiently trying to explain to me that even though we might be favored in all the remaining games, the analytics people might project a different record than 5-0. Way over simplified. But say we're projected to win all 5 of our games. But the expected individual game probabilities are 52%, 75%, 90%, 60%, and 55%. In short, that's 1*52%+1*75%+1*90%+1*60%+1*65% = 3.42 wins out of 5 games.3 points -
I watched the Michigan State/Michigan game at Michigan. Michigan should have won. I still want to play Michigan St. in the conf. tour. with them as the 5 seed and us the 4 seed. It would give us another quad 1 win opportunity. The media sure loves Mich. St. and their coach.3 points

I actually appreciate his demeanor on the bench. He's always cheering on teammates. It could've very well been a situation where the old guy who has been a starter his whole career gets disgruntled and causes locker room issues after losing playing time. But doesn't seem to be the case here. Props to Boogie.3 points -

To piggy back on that he brought his starting PG Daniss Jenkins from Iona had he's had the job from day one. If Jenkins comes back for his extra covid year, he's likely to have the starting job again. Otherwise if you cut through all the Pitino bluster he is a defensive coach and it's also likely that Wilcher isn't elite enough defensively to make up for his lack of experience.2 points -

This is exactly right. Love was in a position of power and control. How in the world could teammates know about this but the other coaches didn't? Sounds like one of the practice squad players was in on the ruse when they confronted her as well. I'm curious if her attorney has already spoken to some of the team members at that time (ones who left the team later on) about what transpired in this meeting where Ashley was yelled at. All it takes is one person to corroborate her story.2 points -

Illinois only played six players and all scored in double figures. Indiana basically played five players. The 5 played 35,35,40,34,31 minutes.2 points -
This is a sad situation. I don’t like how players were used to entrap Scoggins being in the Coaches room. There has to be some concern that the Head Coach and other assistants had no inkling when it seems team members had some knowledge. Maybe it is a shakedown but it certainly needs to be dealt with openly and fairly.2 points

I have faith that our coach and athletic director knew what they were doing at the time and will continue to do so. That being said it can be one hell of a detraction or a rallying point for our team. We will soon find out.2 points

First reaction: I CALL BULLS**T !!! Not on what is alleged of the assistant coach but on the reported reaction of the HCAW. No coach would handle the situation in the manner alleged. Instead she would have been in immediate contact with the AD who would have brought in the lawyers who would have advised that the AC be separated from the team - as happened. There would not have been an hours long team meeting at which the player was shouted at. My guess is that some shyster lawyer sees this opportunity to shake down the university ... that as a respondent UNL would have to choose between re-living the whole incident (obtaining testimony from players - thus subjecting them to cross examination) and disrupting the program vs just settling the suit. Obviously the AD has a ton of money and the litigants might hope that UNL would rather part with a couple million rather than open an old would. In another word ..... shakedown.2 points

Kyle intrigues me, plays hard and very athletic. Good replacement for Jo but no outside shot at all. Don’t think Saint is a P5 guy but could be wrong. He’s improved a lot but not sure it’s enough for the big 102 points -
I like Petrie's upside. But next year we will possibly lose Stewart and Coley isn't very physical. I think a pickup in the portal would be a wise move especially if the player had 2 or 3 years left. Losing Mendelson and possibly Stewart leaves us short at the post.2 points

Just read the on3 article. Always felt like something was not right with what was reported. If indeed true, this goes beyond Williams as a head coach, Alberts as the AD, there are players that fans are high on, and this just make them look so bad. Completely handled the wrong way on so many levels. If true then Ashley should not take money to drop the suit, it is a story that needs to be told.2 points -

This is one difference, but the biggest difference is they smoked their Q4 opponents by 40+ points in almost every game. They were ranked top 10 or maybe even top 5 in NET going into conference play. An absolute tragedy that the metrics would care about that, but alas, they do. Someone needs to get the memo to Fred. Next year, no screwing around in blowouts. Don’t unload the bench. Keep pouring it on.2 points -
Because of the addition of guards coming in, we still need a big recruit or transfer, that can control the lane like Markowski. When she graduates, it's going to be a whole new ball game for this team........like any team that has to replace a force in the middle.2 points

Not doubting you, but who's saying we win out? We have 5 games left, three on the road, and our current conference record is 8-7. Winning out would put us at 13-7. That would tie for the most conference wins this century and the 2nd best conference win %. If we do that, surely we're a lock regardless what happens in the conference tournament, right?2 points -

NET is purely numbers based. The biggest head scratcher is BYU being #9. They aren’t a big name. MSU is high because they’ve played an extremely difficult SOS, and while they’ve lost most of their Q1 games, they were close losses. Win margin matters a great deal to NET.1 point -
