I’m being way too loyal to a kid who’s never played a meaningful minute for us, but this feels a bit shitty. He was selfless enough to redshirt then had to medical redshirt last year. His demeanor on the bench was outstanding. Was engaged, supportive, and looked like a leader. Wish he would’ve gotten a shot here. Good luck Q!!!

  3. Clearly this was a smooth transition and coach Goehle deciding to pursue ministry full time. We have a great coach and staff that represent NU very well. We had an excellent team last year pre injuries to Sam and the acl to weidner. We still were decent even after losing them. We had hardest schedule in history of NU womens bball. Played 9 games against teams that were a 3 seed or better I believe -Indiana Ohio state iowa Maryland and Virginia tech. That’s essentially 9 games against top 12 teams. Plus Drake Creighton Mississippi state and ku were all good too. Plus whole big 10 league was good for the most part. Nobody on this board wants to win more than the players and coaches. They would be first to say they want to and expect to do better. But some of the comments on this board at times are not well founded and speculation that we would go into recruiting season a coach short was nonsense. They have known about this transition and the new coach for several weeks I am sure. We have a fun product. Enjoy it

I just wanna say this is a talented kid who is in line to get a lot of minutes here next year no matter what else happens in recruiting. If he wants to play point, we'll have lots of minutes at point. If he wants to be a combo guard, we'll have lots of minutes for that as well. If he wants to be a 3-and-D wing, we'll have lots of minutes for that, too. And I think he's talented enough to command a bunch of those minutes. I've been looking forward to seeing this kid play for a year now. November can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

Nebraska women’s basketball team has added its first known transfer of the offseason in former Montana State player Darian White. Per Brent Wagner, 4/18, Lincoln Journal Star The Nebraska women’s basketball team has added its first known transfer of the offseason in former Montana State player Darian White. The 5-foot-6 guard announced her move on social media on Tuesday. This past season, she led Montana State in scoring (14.3 per game), rebounds (5.6) and assists (3.5) while starting all 31 games. The Bobcats had a 20-11 record but did not make a postseason tournament. White earned first-team all-conference honors each of the past three seasons. She played four seasons at Montana State, and announced last month she would enter the transfer portal and play her final season elsewhere. During her first season at Montana State, she was coached by new Nebraska assistant coach Julian Assibey. From Boise, Idaho, White was the Idaho high school player of the year in 2019.

It’s not linking correctly, so for those without Twitter… He basically says McCollum to OU, we’re all in on Hunter/Wrightsell, hinted at a visit from Alleck and said Kario Oquendo is still in play.

Stanford's transfer Lauren Betts to UCLA. Maty Wilke from Wisconsin transfers to Utah. wow.....rumors are swirling Duke's Celeste Taylor committed to Ohio State. if true, that is a huge addition for Ohio State. Sheldon and Taylor could create a big number in the steal column next season.

I was wanting to get caught up on who Ramel is as a player, and forgot that I had watched this a couple years ago. I forgot how much of a Point Guard I found him to be. Clearly has incredible, heads up, court vision and just knows where guys are. I think I've kinda settled on that he reminds me a lot of Sammy G and Delano Banton in 1 player. But not as tall/long as Delano (but a better scorer), and not as physically big as Sam (but a craftier passer). https://www.google.com/search?q=ramel+lloyd+jr&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS917US917&sxsrf=APwXEdeWDncwJVdZZik1QzEV6yI63fWN4w:1681841238630&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiXjuPsgrT-AhWfkIkEHR3yA5AQ0pQJegQIBBAG&biw=1224&bih=730&dpr=2#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:a3d1c830,vid:tsH3nwgeExU

  32. #3 ranked player in his class has a family Husker connection and is visiting campus on his own dime. This seems like a story that should be getting more publicity, but perhaps the fact that he is in the 2025 class is dampening excitement levels.

I don't know if Wisconsin and Marquette didn't pursue him, moreso that Wisconsin has a guy higher on their board (Knueppel https://247sports.com/player/kon-knueppel-46115296/). Also, Gard has NOT done well in the state of Wisconsin for a while. Davis twins were the last two hat Gard landed from the state. He does do well when Wisconsin kids transfer, and he CLEANS UP in Minnesota. But I view this as more of a Gard connection with the HS's locally more than anything. I had the same thought as you at first, but did some research and found all that out. Found it very interesting honestly. Here's a screengrab of Wisconsin's in state efforts also: https://twitter.com/itsAntWright/status/1645912694996754438?s=20

  37. Assibey spent the past three years as an assistant coach for the Gators. In his tenure, he helped Florida to three consecutive postseason berths. Assibey joined the Gators after spending four years as an assistant coach at Montana State, where he helped the Bobcats to a pair of Big Sky regular-season titles and one conference tournament crown. In addition to his assistant coaching duties, Assibey served as the recruiting coordinator for Montana State, which produced nine all-conference honorees including a pair of Big Sky players of the year. Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, Assibey grew up in Downey, California, before earning four letters in men’s basketball while also competing in track and field (long jump, triple jump, 4×100-meter relay) at William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Assibey earned a bachelor’s degree in sports administration and strength and conditioning in 2005. Assibey then completed his master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University in 2013, while being an assistant coach at Merrimack College. Assibey’s been an assistant coach for over 15 years and will take over for former assistant coach, Tom Goehle, who retired from his position last week.

I guess it comes down to whether or not it matters if I'm wrong. If it matters that I'm wrong, I'm trying to point out why it is that I might be coming to the wrong conclusion and also trying to point out what might bring me to the right conclusion.
