My favorite play of that game was with ~:50 left and the game entirely in hand, JL jumps a passing lane and gets a tip, then dives for the loose ball. 
 

When players can eliminate having context determine their habits and effort you end up with a good team.

That was a nice win friends.  It may have been one of the better second half's I've seen in quite a while.  TEAM effort.

What a flip from the 2nd half at Minneapolis. Played so hard and returned to the kind of rebounding & defense we were seeing early in the year.

Good win.  Not many road wins against a P6 teams when you go 1 - 4 from the free throw line.  Go scoreless for the final 4:22. Defense was the name of the game.  That defensive effort was not there against Creighton and in the 2nd half of the Minnesota game.  Needs to be our identity the rest of the year.

*-Nebraska snapped a seven-game losing streak to Kansas State and picked up its first win Manhattan since Jan. 11, 2006
*-The 46 points allowed by Nebraska was the lowest in Fred Hoiberg’s five season and the Huskers’ best defensive output since holding Southwest Minnesota State to 38 points on Dec. 29, 2018. It was NU’s lowest total allowed to a Division I program since holding Southeastern Louisiana to 36 points on Nov. 11, 2018. The Wildcats entered Sunday averaging 80.9 points per game.
*-Nebraska held Kansas State to 26.7 percent shooting, including 4-of-30 from 3-point range.  In the second half, NU held Kansas State to 4-of-25 shooting, including 0-of-12 from 3-point range, while out-rebounding the Wildcats, 34-17 in the second half
*-Juwan Gary posted his second double-double of the season and fifth of his career with 13 points and a career-High 18 rebounds.
*-Gary finished with a career-high 18 rebounds, including 11 offensive rebounds. His previous career high with 11 on three previous occasions, most recently against Kansas State last season in Kansas City.

Really can’t believe we snagged 2-2 in our tough 4 game stretch after that 2nd half in Minny. Great job, Huskers.

I managed to watch this one.  Actually it was the game I wasn’t able to peel my eyes off of which is surprising in and of itself.

 

- That D intensity was there in the beginning of the game.  We were getting tips on balls from the get go.  What kept us from doing that both halves was KSU making some shots, the foul discrepancy in the 1st, and KSU moving the ball a bit.

 

- That was a man’s game in the post today and Gary/Mast duo was the best two down there… and it wasn’t even close.

 

- Eli Rice continues to show flashes.  Started trying to do just a bit much later in the game, but I like him to continue his minutes off the bench.

 

- I thought KT had a good all-around game.  He let most shots come to him and he didn’t force much.  Assists, boards, steals… he did quite a bit today.

 

- For me, the game ball goes to Sam H for his defensive intensity on their only guy with a pulse.  Wow, that was master class.

 

- JLaw is frustrating on O right now… that’ll come back.  BUT we absolutely have to have him out there.  We’re better when he is… even if his O game is off.

 

- We were the better team today.  Not a question.  BUT we might be the better team period.  We’re a clunker of a 2nd half against Minny away from probably talking about top 25 votes/rating.

 

- Mentioned this in the game thread, but Fred coached circles around Tang today.  Out of bounds plays, when to push and slow down, who to double and not on drives… great job HCFH today!

KSU in the second half offensively looked a lot like NU in the second half vs Minnesota.

 

if we were going to give credit to Minny’s staff for their halftime adjustments then, we have to tip the cap to our staff today.  Incredible.

Today's game was another example that Sam needs to play, and he should play big-time minutes. He just does so many little things right. He is the ultimate glue guy. This team is showing flashes of continuing what last year's crew started! 11-2 hopefully before Indiana rolls into town in a couple weeks!

I'd love that see the looks on the faces of guy and his wife that got in my face last year at the bar I go to.  Two KSU fans that were pissed that I was a husker fan....and that I'd root for the Jayhawks over the Wildcats.

...another thing I liked is that we really didn't play that well offensively; yet we still dominated them.  The domination was due to effort, defense, smart play and overall outworking a pretty good team.

Watched Tangs post game press conference.  He said the difference in the was our adjustment to how they defend mast and Gary. When our bigs  started hitting 3s they switched. In the second half we ran action to get Gary in rebounding position against a guard. He said he is going to have to watch film to figure out how to stop it. Said it is a chink in their armor.

What amazed me, and kudos to the KSU players and coaches, was how aggresively they defended our players with their hands, not so subtle tugs, grabs and pushes, without drawing fouls???  That was a clinic.  It seems that most teams draw fouls with those techniques.  Yes indeed, amazing!
