Sometimes you play a team that is better than you are and plays great on a given night. This was one of those times. The effort was there. Not much need for over analyzing things in this spot.10 points

A quick update: we were under the impression when the first two lymph nodes tested positive, they then removed two more. We were wrong. They actually removed 20 additional lymph nodes. Got the results back this morning. All 20 came back negative! Thank you all for your prayers! Got a good feeling about tonight's game....8 points

Yeah I started taking all 3 of my boys to games when they were like 5 years old. Morgan has kept with me. He stated paying for his own ticket (pays me) since he was 13. Mowed lawns scooped snow to make money. He is now 33 and I asked him last night the last game he remembers missing was maybe the upset of Purdue. Was that when there was a major snow storm? He works for Todd's Lawn Care and does both mowing and snow removal. I myself have been to a minimum of one game, except the covid year since 1965. Have only missed about 10 games since I became a season ticket holder in 1988. Always loved Husker basketball even better than football. Have seen some great and not so great basketball over the years. I do wish we could play a game each year at the old Colosseum but it only holds what 3,000. Maybe an open scramage with the popcorn machine in the corner of the court. Got lots of good stories, it also helped me bond with my boys at a different level.7 points -
This is the first loss this year, (maybe st Mary’s) that I haven’t been frustrated with our team. A lot of guys stepped up and played well. If we didn’t get the flu bug we probably win this game. If we were fully healthy I really think we win this game. i hope Braxton showing up as a good piece of to the puzzle helps us out moving forward. He is never going to be something he’s not, but he can make a real impact7 points

A healthy team wins this game. Need to at minimum split these next 2. Totally doable with a short handed Northwestern and a Penn State team in a library.5 points

Interesting question. Further assumptions; I have built a contending team, that team has been a historical bottom feeder. That team has not yet, reached the level of play that consistently translates into a top tier program. However, that said, your building a foundation of expectations. Tied with that are specific systems for your offense, defense and off-court behavior. Now, when you recruit do you recruit for that system, or do you make systematic changes to conform to the recruit/players? Now back to your question, with my answer. I said this earlier in the season. It doesn't appear to me that the staff really knows how to leverage Meah. So instead of changing the system, the coaches are requiring Meah to conform to the system.3 points -

Well, we showed some fight and toughness out there. We were outmanned and everyone knew it. Knew something was off when both Connor and Brice were in full jumpsuits with hoods on during warmups. Both got IV’s before the game just to get some fluids. Both were fevering and fatigued. I do want to say, Braxton came in and gave us some solid minutes. Has hit his last 5 free throws as well. On to Northwestern3 points -

I don't think I've ever been more proud of this team than right now! We blew a top 20 team right out of their gym! Basically everything that wasn't working the last few games finally clicked tonight. The three-point shot returned especially, and Markowski was persistent inside getting 20 points after missing a few close range ones in the 1st Q. Oh let's bring this energy and execution to Illinois! GBR!3 points -

Fantastic win ladies! That was a by-the-book, old-fashioned, behind-the-woodshed a$$-whoopin'! Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of elitist, snooty, east coast prima donnas. On their own court to boot. Great way to end a losing streak. It warms my heart to see Brenda Freese (or however you spell her name) sitting on the sideline with her thumb up her rear end completely at a loss as to why they were losing by 30 and knowing that she couldn't do a darn thing about it.3 points -

He comes down and shoots on the north basket if the other team is not out there, very early like 45 min before games. Shoots for a good 15 minutes. Dude has KT range, hits about every shot he takes, and it is bottom of net no rim. Left handed, looks like a outside LB. He does dribble around when taking the shot and does go between the legs behind the back quick dribbles. Also like that he doesn't just work on catch and shoot, but off the dribble, pump fake, step back. We know a lot of guys who are pretty good catch and shoot, but the way the Big 10 is allowed to defend, it is hard for those type of guys to get open to get good clean looks. So I don't really know how this translates to live action but he looks really good before games.2 points -

Played about as good as we could've play considering the circumstances we were under with Berke out, Brice and Conor having the flu. Maryland just hit insanely tough shots down the stretch, can't be to mad at that when the other team is just hitting shots. Not out of it getting these next 2 would pretty much solidify our tourney hopes and put less pressure on those last 4 games.2 points -

Actually I don't think he is even the most immature player on his team. Queen behaves like a toddler on the court. Not sure I have ever seen a player whine as much. Then at the end he taunts the crowd like an arrogant little brat. Extremely talented player but needs to grow up a lot. If I was his father he would definitely get an earful about behaving that way on the court. Willard really should step in and coach him to act more mature. I get that he is a freshman - but again he acts like he is a middle schooler at best. Reese is not quite as naturally gifted - but is really physical. I get that he taunts and uses his strength in ways that should not really be allowed. But that is where his advantage lies on the court and he tries to use that to his benefit. As long as the officials allow him to play that way - why would he stop. Again the two are very talented and effective players. But their behavior is like a Baby and a Bully. Maybe they each have a little bit of both - but to me Queen in the more obvious Baby with his on court behavior.2 points -

Needed to make one defensive stop at the end and couldn't. Even then had a great look to get the game to 1. Maryland could be a dangerous team in the tournament. We were right in it not playing particularly well with Berke out and Brice & Essegian sick. Guys need to get rested and healthy for Northwestern. Important road trip. Get the first one.2 points -
