Happy to announce that despite various openings and opportunities out there that Husker Hoops Central will remain at Nebraska for its 20th season. Just got this puppy today.

Also need to consider we were very lucky on the injury front last year... Need to have some depth in case we sustain a major injury.

Until they pass a Legislative Resolution that clearly states that Creighton Sucks, I have no positive things to say about the State Legislature

If Jamarques Lawrence is leaving, I'm guessing it's because they were honest with him and told him they didn't see him having a starting role this season. And if that's the case, I find it hard to believe they would tell Frankie Fidler he would have a starting role here. I've heard they really like Ulis more than people know and that leaves Williams/Gary and two big men (Mast + 1) as our starters. I will be shocked if it isn't Wisconsin, and I'm OK with it because I think we're about to load up in the next couple weeks.

Gary has a relationship with Frankie from calling UNO basketball games. The guy's had a kid on his show that committed to Iowa. The fact he's doing it on Gary's show doesn't mean anything in regards to where he'll end up. I personally think he's just gonna shock everyone and just stay at UNO tbh.

Something I was really impressed and happy with during the season is how our play as a team wasn't really affected when 1 or more of our rotation guys were out. Keisei, Juwan, Mast, Josiah, CJ all missed at least one game. It didn't matter, we kinda just looked the same regardless. Still put a quality product on the floor. Kansas looked like a dang mid-major team when one or both of their two best players were out. That type of piss poor roster construction should never happen at Kansas. Bill Self may continue to struggle now that everyone else can pay players too.

It's amazing how public school defender assumes that Neal Hawks must be a wacko for living out his beliefs. Jordi Alba. Pretty sure that red card does not carry over to other leagues/competitions, so he should be available Saturday. Ironically, he is probably more likely to start on Saturday since his red card saved him 15-20 minutes of playing time last night.

I was listening to Sharp's show when he announced that Fidler would name his school on Monday. He made an interesting comment about how Fidler was lucky that he had two high character local head coaches (Fred and Greg) that gave him an honest evaluation of where they see him fitting at a Power 5/6 school. He didn't elaborate but just said that the portal world was tough because you have a lot of people out there that aren't being honest with kids about their roles.

I think you can take an elite athlete and teach him how to defend in soccer a lot easier than you can teach an elite athlete how to pitch or hit a baseball. Granted a non-soccer playing athlete isn't going to score any goals against a pro soccer team, but you could park the bus and keep the final score somewhat respectable. Not true for the baseball game, as the baseball players would destroy the non-baseball players. Not to nitpick but the rotation was 8 at the end of the year and I'd argue if Ulis would have been available it would have been 9. Depending on who we land, I would anticipate being able to go 9 deep next season, maybe 10. At least that's what I hope we will be capable of.

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’re getting either of Kyle or Fidler, Kyle wants to take a visit to Wake Forest, and Fidler im guessing goes to either the evil empire (flying blue-rats) or the first order (wiscansin). I was hopeful but the vibes are off. I hope we can get the Rutgers transfer, and than figure it out from there.

I agree. I think he's figured out how he wants to approach transfers in this new portal era. Took him a bit to get his sea legs under him, but I think he'll be steady from here on out
