We need a new coach, fellas. A fresh start is desperately needed here. And I say this as someone who was a full Hoiberg believer and just could have never believed it would come to this.

Congratulations to Annika! She has paid her dues, and deserves the recognition for a well done 23 pts, with several different shots. (80% from the floor shooting 2 ptrs) Rebounded well too. Markowski was solid with another double-double. (third of year... team high). Wiedner saved us in the first half, and got us going. These two are solid game after game. So much for the sophmore letdowns.

The sequence where Griesel missed the free throw, Wilcher grabbed the rebound and immediately kicked the ball out of bounds pretty much sums up the Hoiberg era at Nebraska.

Watching game for the first time this morning, was struck by how poor our post play was. Tanner Groves is not a great defender and their backup was a former walk-on at Wofford who transferred in this year. Yet both Keita and WB struggled against them.

A mismatch roster full of guys with poor basketball skill sets. Unbelievable that in year 4 we have this roster—not big, not athletic,and not skilled. Hard to believe you can be 0-3 in those categories. Culture and effort may be better than it’s been, but no way the talent level of this group can be successful at the Big 10 level.

My point was to point out the absurdity and lack of competitive caring to bring back both Frost and Hoiberg this year despite being historically horrible.

I am nearly 100% positive Lawrence is better than both players at this point. He can guard opposing D1 guards and make an open three. He should have been given an honest look today. Should be interesting with Walker.

He will. It’s over and Fred knows it. He thought it was over last year. Scheduled a 2 week Maui trip during camp season. Fred will handle it with class. His heart condition helps him put it in perspective.

Damn those Husker fans for showing up by the thousands to watch a terrible product on the floor. I haven't mentioned this before but I'm going to take the opportunity now and say some things of which I am RELIABLY informed: Matt is a terrible dude. He undermined the coaches. All of them. Even Hoiberg. All of those great recruits he's so proud of for bringing in? He basically sheltered them from consequences for crappy behavior. If your last name was McGowens and you didn't want to show up for conditioning, Matt would fix it for you. If you were one of Matt's guys and the coaches got on you in practice, Matt would take you aside and tell you you didn't have to do what they said. Matt was the cause of rifts among the assistants. Matt tried to get good people fired. Matt is an awful dude and the night-and-day difference you see in effort and team play this year is directly attributable to him not being here anymore.
