Keep building on the defensive efforts from these past 2 games. Sam H. has proved to be one of NU's better guard defenders. And when Mast, Allick, Williams, and Gary can combine to control the boards, the Huskers can win a bunch of ballgames with a fairly decent offensive output. It's the best formula to win in the B1G for Hoiberg & Co.

I'd love that see the looks on the faces of guy and his wife that got in my face last year at the bar I go to.  Two KSU fans that were pissed that I was a husker fan....and that I'd root for the Jayhawks over the Wildcats.

I remember that story. I bet that dude's pissed off tonight. Poor sap, had to root for the Purple Kitty-Cats and then see them get manhandled to boot. 😅

Feeling smug for being early on the Sam H. bandwagon. :)

Some players just have *it*. He does.

I think it's important though that he maintains in the same role. I don't think this "works" if he starts. Then he has expectations and needed statistical output. Coming off the bench as a back-up PG fits him nicely. Interject some serious energy, dog a guy defensively, attack the paint, maybe hit a big shot, etc...

Sam is the definition of what kind of basketball player you want coming off the bench. Defender, energy giver. And might make the team BETTER when he is in the game.

100% — he’s also never looking for HIS shot, but will take the shot if he’s open.  Yesterday he kicked to Kessi instead of forcing a breakaway layup that probably goes bad for him.  He also took a wide open three after KSU was like “shoot it, I dare you” and he drained it.  The ultimate glue guy.

Today's game was another example that Sam needs to play, and he should play big-time minutes. He just does so many little things right. He is the ultimate glue guy. This team is showing flashes of continuing what last year's crew started! 11-2 hopefully before Indiana rolls into town in a couple weeks!

Sam has earned the right to play but probably not big-time minutes.  He is a situational kind of player but does contribute when he is on the floor.

“There wasn’t a lack of motivation. It wasn’t a lack of focus. Nebraska just kicked our butt,” K-State basketball coach Jerome Tang said. “In the second half they really kicked our butt. They found a chink in the armor, and they took advantage of it. We didn’t have an answer, and that’s on me as the coach.”
