It’s interesting because Robin said he expected Nebraska, Alabama and Arizona to be the 3 in the mix.

Well Robin might be guessing just as much as me and you lol.  I’d expect him to land in Arizona but we will see.  Unless he’s gonna play pure point for us I’m not sure if he fits with what we need to do to be successful anyways.

Maybe but Bama has no ties to him that I know of, idk why he would mention them if he didn’t hear something.

He'd guard the opposing team's best guard/wing and be a slashing guard who's capable of being a secondary ball handler. Why can't he and Keisei be on the court together, along with a point guard? In fact, his player archetype would be perfect alongside Keisei and either Kriisa/Hepburn. You'd have two higher volume guards who take most of their shots behind the arc. And Sallis, who won't demand shots on offense, but is very efficient inside the arc and a good free throw shooter. Would definitely play a significant role here. He played a significant role for Gonzaga. This is like last offseason trying to convince some people on here that Juwan Gary would be a significant contributor for Nebraska...

I just hope Lawrence sticks here. I think he has real star potential. His combination of skill, speed and confidence makes him a nightmare to defend. And he's already damn good on the defensive end, too.

And Lawrence has a thick-body type of frame.  He can handle the physicality of the Big 10.

There isn’t enough minutes here for him in that scenario unless you think something is going to happen with Lawrence, Lloyd, wilcher, or rice?  He’s either gotta be the point if he comes here or some other stuff has to happen for it work IMO.

One or two of those guys wouldn't be in the regular rotation. But an elite perimeter defender who was Gonzaga's 7th man, and was often on the court to finish games, would see plenty of minutes at Nebraska.

You think Wilcher would play ahead of him?

No, I assume wilcher hasn’t left yet because the coaching staff has given him some kinda guarantee they won’t recruit over him.  I wouldn’t take salis over Keisei or Lawrence or Lloyd at the 2/3 positions.  If he wants to come be the point here or the first/second guy off the bench by all means bring him in.

If the staff has given ANYONE a guarantee that they won’t recruit over them, then they aren’t going to succeed here.  We don’t have the ability to give those promises.  Any coach really… it’s their job to get the best and the players have to prove their worth.

Total  speculation on Wilcher and what he’s been told.  Sallis  plays big minutes in the Sweet 16 and elite 8, and you have him behind a guy who hasn’t played a minute of college basketball.  Ok.

If I'm Sallis I'm only going places who are slotting me in as their PG and building the team around me.

Doesn't make a lot of sense for him to play with someone else who dominates the ball. Or else he'll just have the same roll he did at Gonzaga.

Nebraska, with KT and Lawrence flanking him, would actually be pretty great for him. Open up driving lanes for him.

People have projected him as a PG since high school, but he really has never run a team as such. Seems like he would have had his choice to commit to it either in high school or college, but he's been a combo or off guard. I wonder if he wants to play the position now, or if he just wants to get on the court however he can.

Maybe we can have success with a PG who dominates dribbles but it seemed like our offense flowed more when Griesel was our PG and for the most part moved the ball around. However pressure bothered Griesel and we cobbled together answers for that.  It would seem we could use a decent number of ball handlers. Lawrence and Lloyd seem like they could be part of that group but it seems like we need at least two more.  Keisei, Wilcher, nor Rice seem to be ball handlers.

Seems like we need to come away with at least one ball handler. Sallis or Kriesa seem to fit that bill. Hepburn as well if he decides to transfer. We're not in a drivers seat where we can cherry pick transfers so it's about identifying guys we think will work with what we have a handing out offers like they're free drinks after a Nebraska basketball game.

He made a poor decision and I felt he made a poor decision when he committed.

This isn't difficult... he's not a shooter, aka, not a combo guard. And he's not big enough to be a 1-4/5 switching defender so you can afford to have him on the court even without the shooting (ala Juwan Gary).

His best move, imo, is to go to a true mid-major and under the assumption he gets to be "Ja Morant," if you will.

It won't happen, but his best move would probably be to go to Drake and play with Tucker Devries and run the MVC together.
