Lots of issues tonight - terrible defense for most of the night is the primary one. Something that stood out to me looking at the box score - Juwan took 21 shots tonight. Turning him into a volume shooter is not a great formula either.

Extremely frustrating, we should have never let it get close enough for the refs to have an impact.

We needed a timeout and a lineup change as soon as they started that run. I haven't been too annoyed with the lack of timeouts much lately, but that one stood out. Probably also needed one after rollie got pounded at the start of OT. Dude clearly wasn't sure where he was for a couple possessions and that was the game.

Didn't like Brice not getting the first shot in OT, he was the one that got you there.  Rollie missing the two free throws to start OT were killer.

 

I guess the only good thing is it was a road game.  Feels like that Minnesota game last year.

 

Not sure if we will have anything for Purdue.  I would trade this loss for a win at Purdue.

Only listened to the game and it seems poor free throw shooting and blowing a 15 pt lead make it discouraging.  Hopefully, we have some leadership to prepare for a tough game at Mackey.

Pretty sad when they have to knock our player almost unconscious before a foul was called.  

 

I agree with your timeout statement but it did kind of snowballed quickly and I think we were waiting until the under 12 but finally we were so gassed (with 3 subs sitting there waiting for a dead ball for a long time) we had to call one.

That was rough. Terrible officiating. Terrible free throw shooting. 
 

we went up 52-37 with a Williams dunk with 13 minutes left and it’s like we took our foot completely off the gas.

 

I love Juwan but he can’t turn into a foul merchant. He was just throwing things up at the hoop at times. Just a rough game. There was also a time in OT that Brice poked it free and Juwa. Didn’t even run back- just kind of watched. That’s not the dawg I’m used to.

 

Have to recognize on defense much better. Sandfort basically Keisei’d us in the second half.

Got a little too complacent when got up big and Iowa got lucky as hell when sanford made brick off back iron that never should go in.  Gave him confidence somehow and we didn’t react to it very well.
