Just had to win today - glad to see the team find a way to get it done. Keisei was brilliant late, but don't forget CJ's driving bucket to break the tie.

Lots of contributions from different guys - impressive defense on Buie, not many teams have done that to him.

Hate to see us have another several minute FG scoring drought, but we got a little tentative offensively again when the other team turned up the pressure.

Almost impossible to have 18 turnovers (13 of which were steals) and give up only 3 fast break points. Not sure how we did it, but us preventing them from running after those giveaways probably won the game.

Another big one Tuesday where we'll probably be without Gary again - our resume takes a big ding with a home loss to anyone at this point other than maybe Wisky. And I don't want to lose to Wisky.

We out rebounded NW 40 to 26. It sure didn't seem that way.

Agreed that it felt more even on the boards, but part of it was we turned it over so much and shot such a high percentage, NW didn't have a lot of chances at defensive rebounds to pad their numbers.

Maybe it's the booze but that game is easily top 5 worst reffed game I've seen vs Huskers. Lawrence got mugged on a fast break, Igor #34 must weigh less than a feather the way he could float with barely being touched and so sick and tired of Keisei getting grabbed and held.

Sorry.  After 50 years of watching Husker games, this isn't even close to honorable mention when it comes to poorly officiated games in Lincoln. Welcome to the club.  🙂

Nice to get the win against what really is a quality veteran team.   Huge shot by Keisei at the end when he finally broke free.  Kind of ironic as I had said earlier how it was clear Collins had clearly told his team they could not let Keisei get loose as he was getting pushed and held all game away from the ball.   The way he gets treated when he tries to make cuts would be charged as assault if it happened anywhere other than a basketball court.   Not sure why Big 10 refs seem completely unable to see anything happening to players who do not have the ball.

From UNL

*-The win snapped Nebraska’s seven-game losing streak against Northwestern dating back to 2019. It also marks the fourth losing streak of seven-or-more games to an opponent which has ended this season (Michigan State-11; Kansas State-7, Indiana-7)

*-Josiah Allick reached double figures for the seventh time this season with a season-high 15 points and five rebounds. His previous high in points this season was 14 at Iowa on Jan. 12. Allick started in place of Juwan Gary, who missed Saturday’s game with a calf injury suffered at Rutgers on Wednesday. It is the second time in three games that Allick has led NU in scoring.

*-Nebraska shot a season-best 55.3 percent from the floor against Northwestern. The previous season high was .550 against Stony Brook on Nov. 15. It was the second-highest field goal percentage Northwestern has allowed this season (.625 at Illinois on Jan. 2)

• With the win, NU improved to 14-5 on the season, its best 19-game mark since joining the Big Ten in 2011-12. The last time NU was 14-5 or better after 19 games was in 2010-11 (14-5).

*-Nebraska held Northwestern to 38.1 percent shooting, ninth opponent held to under 40 percent shooting.

*-The Huskers finished with a +14 rebounding margin on the boards, their best since a +17 at Kansas State on Dec. 17.

*-Nebraska put five players in double figures for the first time since Dec. 20 against North Dakota

*-Keisei Tominaga finished with 14 points and a career-high six rebounds, including an offensive putback that gave Nebraska a 69-65 lead with 2:45 left. His previous high in rebounds was five against South Carolina State on Dec. 19.

*-C.J. Wilcher finished with 10 points off the bench, the 16th time in 19 games NU has had at least one double-figure scorer off the bench.

*-Rienk Mast tied a career-high with six assists (also vs. MSU on Dec. 10) and led NU with eight rebounds.

*-Brice Willians finishes with 12 points, his team-high 15th double-figure effort of the season.

This game seriously needed a Three Blind Mice chant.

Watching the UCLA / Arizona game - and have to mention that Kelly Pfeiffer is also a bad ref in the Pac 10.

Who does he hate in the Pac 10?  🥴

I’ve been busy all day so I haven’t had a chance to read the entire thread, but if nobody else has said it, I’m glad to see the choice of jersey’s Nebraska used for this game. The “NU” makes a statement vs. Northwestern…

A few thoughts:

- Sweet win. Northwestern is a good team, so are we.

- I won't slam the refereeing, yet it is simply amazing when there are bodies flying and major impacts and nothing is called.  Then 20 seconds later a touch foul is called.  Not sure I understand.  Plus Collins can run the floor, literally, without even a warning.  Really?

- One negative, the careless turnovers.  Nuf said about that.

- We rebounded much better today.  Much better.

- Mast is simply getting beat up.  Man he takes some blows.

- Josiah was a man today.

- Much better game out of JLaw today. Good job.

- Wilcher was as mad as I have seen him today.  Loved the fire.

- Keisei showed up when we needed him.  But he had a sneaky good overall game.  Good job rebounding.

Everyone who played contributed, including Eli who gave us several minutes of quality.

- Good to see Blaise suited up.
