Is this the game where we “Right the Ship” or do we get boat raced at Home then in Manhattan on our way to another Ho Hum season? I refuse to throw in the towel before Christmas but we need to bring an ATTITUDE onto that Court Sunday that I’m not sure we have.

"Ho Hum" seems optimistic at this point.

Michigan State can't shoot. Idc if they're coming off an L. Find ways to get Keisei the ball on offense, including him just bringing the ball up instead of JLaw sometimes. 

 

And play defense/crash the boards with intensity. This isn't Cal State Fullerton anymore it ain't falling into your lap. I'd hope that these last two games are enough of a wake up call to realize that. Go effin get it and put a body on someone on the way. Doing that alone at least gives you a chance to win.

They're struggling a ton to score outside of Tyson Walker. Backcourt defense for them has been great, but scoring has not. Malik Hall has seemed to not look great either. 

 

Losing Hauser was a loss, but I didn't think it would be this big of a loss

That's a worry of mine as well. Especially after Wisconsin smacked them.

Other than they have better players, coaching, and resolve this is actually a good matchup for us

Every game is a new adventure. Hopefully this NU team can find the resolve to carry on & take a game against MSU, it's certainly an opportunity to write a new narrative for the conclusion of 2023 after the past week of heartache. GBR

Typical of Izzo teams MO. Start out the season playing like crap and get better as the season goes on. I sometimes think Izzo likes when his team gets thrashed early in the season just so he can say I told you so to the players. We are MSU's "get right" games."
