If only Fred could have got last years team to try and make them understand that being dogs on defense is the only way to be really good.  This is so much more fun to watch for me.  We aren't all that good obviously, but they are giving effort.  It is also refreshing to no longer have to see Doc Sadler on the sidelines collecting a paycheck and having his back turned to the team on the near end by the scorers table.

I also wonder what might have been possible this year if we had landed Baylor or the eventual K St. fella.

Was there any thing said about Gary on the post game show?

Hoiberg said he "jammed" his shoulder. He wraps/tapes it every practice/game, so apparently it's something that has been bothering him and he must have hit it the wrong way. Hoiberg said he could have gone back in if he needed to but with the lead they had, they decided to hold him out.

Omaha certainly could end up winning more than people expect from a national and/or analytics perspective but you're talking about a team with a first year coach and a roster full of guys who hadn't played a D-1 game until Monday night.  It's not that Nebraska is being overvalued here so much as Omaha is viewed as the 10th best team in a 10 team Summit League and isn't considered noticeably better than a team like Maine.

So yeah Nebraska could squeak out this game or even lose.  They could also win this by 30.

Won by 14 while missing 13 FTs

In case you missed the Radio broadcast Kent compared Bandoumel to Stu Lantz & Fred told him to “pump the brakes” on that one during his post game comments.

lol..what was Kent drinking during the game (I'd like some)?  Post game he introduced Coach Hoiberg as Coach Osborne and at the end he said our next game was December 17th. They all got a chuckle over the Osborne comment and Coach asked Kent if he was ok to drive home.

Maybe he had several of those small beers they sell at the concession stand.

And when I say small beers, think frat party kegger small red solo cup small.

Just the cup is clear not red.

I hope Fidler is playing for us next year.

Omaha has a nice little team there. If they all stick together, they could be pretty good in a year or two.

They're very young and they have some nice pieces. Even that Jungers kid. He's a freshman and he's 6'9 and he's out there stroking three pointers. Fidler, a sophomore, maybe had an off night but he's clearly a talented player.

I think they had one junior getting minutes and the rest were freshmen and sophomores.

Good job to their coaching staff.
