Yeah. It came down to those few boards. They were bound to get boards. But 13 that led to 22(?) Second chance points?? That's a massive way to lose

The box score said they only had 7 2nd chance points.  It seemed like a bunch more.

Going by the box score, the difference in the game was :

Points in the paint : -4

Fastbreak points : -5

I think the turning point was when we cut the lead to single digits, and Wisconsin stole the ball on 2 straight possessions and had a jam and a lay-up to extend the lead.  Pretty much ended any hope of a comeback.

Bryce seemed to go back to his poor shot selection and hero ball.  We played well the first 15 minutes.  The next 15 minutes we played poor basketball.  We played alright for the final 10 minutes.  Is it too hard to ask the team to play a full 40 minutes?

It's not hard to set the 3 point record when you've played for 10 years.

And, finally how did Nebraska receive a flop warning, and Wisconsin did not?

I thought I saw 22 on a stat while at the game. That's my fault.

6 of our conference losses are double digit.

Our closest loss was by 7 vs IU.

The only game we've been in this year was against tOSU. All other games were essentially not competitive.

I mean we were  tied with Illinois at the under four but yeah…

Dwalk has struggled recently. Butterfingers + foul prone.

Really a shame about Wilhelm. Wouldn’t have to see Lat as much.

I like Trey a lot but holy cow when he drives he just like throws it up from 4 feet out. Brothers McGowens could learn a lot from each other. Combine them and you have a great player.

Sunday night I watched the Chiefs win the most epic NFL game I've ever watched. Were just 1 game away from another super bowl and the high from that game was amazing. I didn't watch the nebrasketball game and I probably won't watch any until after the superbowl. There is no point in letting this team drag my energy.

Im surprised there is this many responses.  What amazes me is fans made a lot of excuses for the fb team.  There isnt much for this team, which you could easily talk yourself into this year and past years.  There isnt much hope but you can talk yourself into next year which is it worth it at this point to continue?

A team built like ours from a physical standpoint has to play with a high basketball IQ to succeed.  Assignment sound, taking care of the ball, crisp passing, good shot selection.  Problem is we aren’t good at any of that.

I don’t think that is something you can teach.  I don’t think Matt A actually considers that when he is recruiting.  First half we looked decent and then hero ball reappeared and we fell behind big.  I struggle to see this changing at all this season.

You know apathy has set in when the Hot Seat thread doesn't even get bumped in the aftermath of a home loss.

Bunch of babies in this thread. You think our quest for history was gonna be easy? By my research no team has gone 0-20 in conf play. Sure 15-16 Boston College got close at 0-18, but we have our sights on something bigger. THIS WAS NEVER GOING TO BE EASY, but we are almost half way home. Stay on course.

Wow, talk about a negative Nancy!  Did you ever for a split second stop to think that we can still finish above .500 in conference play?!?!?  Yeah, me either, even after drinking spiked NyQuil to raise the spirits and find hope.  But alas, only despair and darkness... lots and lots of darkness.  Your campaign for history is worthy.

This team sucks. How ppl thought this was our best recruiting class/most talented roster since the 90s is freaking laughable. Any Miles or Sadler roster would beat this team in a best of 3 series.

On paper it looked like a pretty dang good recruiting class.  You give Miles, Collier or even Doc this roster they win 18 games. I am not sure it's the talent that is the big issue.  It's the guy that doesn't mold them into a team that actually plays together and do the little things, like say boxing out.  Fred has been a disaster to this point.

Didn't watch a minute of the game! Helped a lot. Must suggest.

Had to drive my wife to the airport so I missed the game.  Got home 10 minutes into the USMNT match.  Not watching Nebraska and watching US soccer was a good combo.

13 offensive rebounds were the deal breaker tonight.  Everything else essentially equaled out

Wisconsin isn't a team that really blows out their competition. Make no mistake, they where extremely confident down the stretch that the game was over.  Davidson was pulled from the game with just under a minute left after he finished hitting 2 FT to put them up by  12/13.

Wisconsin will go as far as Davidson and Davis can take them.

I wonder what this team would look like with a competent coaching staff.

People can blame Matt A. but in the end getting this team ready to play on the court lies squarely at the feet of Fred.

Early in the 2nd half I wondered out load to my wife and kids if the cats or beaded dragon needed a bath.

i just don't see how this can continue, buyout or no buyout.

i'd pay hoiberg his salary to just stay home and let a phys ed instructor coach the team until the salary hit took care of itself.

there's a masochist that can coach somevvhere out there for us.
