I wonder who has a bigger "say" --- LeBron, who didn't attend college and who's son chose USC over OSU; or new OSU president Ted Carter? 🤔

If it's not Ted Carter and their new AD since Gene Smith is retiring, then something's definitely wrong in Columbus, Ohio....

Considering that Carter isn't the AD or even the shadow AD and this isn't football, easily LeBron.

Somewhat surprised by Indiana retaining Woodson but how do you know what’s better that’s available.  Woodson is a Hoosier and a known quantity.

IU could still finish .500 in conference and play in the NIT.  So it’s not like a completely wasted season.

How much would our football team kill to just play in a bowl.  Even if it isn’t the CFB Playoff.  I could see running it back one more year at IU.  Should have plenty of pieces to build off of.

Believe Woodson, who is 65, was always considered a caretaker type coach who was supposed to bridge the Archie Miller era to whoever the next guy is supposed to be.  People in Indiana are quite fond of Florida Atlantic coach Dusty May who graduated from Indiana and was a student manager for Bobby Knight.....checks almost all the boxes.

I don't think they're as frustrated with the W's and L's as they are with his attitude and laziness. Of course that stuff wouldn't matter if they were winning. Being a college basketball coach is a much different job than being an NBA coach and it's something he had never done in any capacity in his 25 years of coaching prior to getting hired by IU. Wouldn't shock me if he steps away before they fire him.

I saw something from an IU fan saying they don't want a Brad Stevens 2.0 situation with Dusty. They want to get in front now before OSU swoops in and gets him like it's being rumored

Washington coach Mike Hopkins let go today. The guy he replaced, Lorenzo Romar, also is out of a job at Pepperdine. Both get to finish out the season.

Romar and Pepperdine actually beat Pacific 102-43 in the first round of the WCC tourney. Pacific was led by an interim coach as Leonard Perry was fired as well.

Feel bad for Wilhelm there.  Will he go for a third school now?

I watched the 1st half of WU-WSU last night.  He started and looked exactly like he did at NU.  Made a couple of buckets but had 3 fouls in 1st half.  He always looks like he's right on the edge of being out of control.  Kind of like a gangly kid who's not really sure what his body is going to do at any given moment.  Doesn't really look like he's made much improvement.  He would probably be better suited to move to the mid-major level.  They did beat WSU on the road to deny WSU a chance for a share of the Pac-0 regular season championship, though.

He’s definitely improved his shooting 57/33/70 splits are pretty good. Hope things work out for him.

He hit the floor on five consecutive possessions - 3 on D & 2 on the offensive end. He seems to have gained some weight and it has not helped his game.

That's pretty good.  I had briefly looked at his stats about a month ago, but just looked at points and rebounds, which seemed to be kind of roleplayerish.

Yeah, I was trying to find a nice way to say he's still somewhat of a clod out on the court.  🙂  Can't fault his effort, but the results of said effort seem to be all over the place:  in a heap on the floor, running over someone, etc.
