Unless the rules have changed I don't think that Creighton can play their first round gam in Omaha, assuming they make the tourney, because they're hosting it.

That's okay, you can just hang out in the ski lodge and hit on the snow bunnies...

Really, Why do you prefer Indy? I’d rather see Omaha get it too before L.A. or Seattle.

The wife and I just like Indy over Minneapolis. You don't have to go outside to get to GainBridge fieldhouse except for the last 3 blocks, you just walk though the convention center.

Yeah, I had already mentioned this notion on page one, it's also my understanding that CU couldn't play in Omaha but if NU were to be a top 4 seed-line they certainly would be available to do so. That'd be sweet to see, oh to dream! DREAM BIG!

Mrs cip and I will absolutely do the Memphis drive!

Love Lonnie Mack’s instrumental of the Chuck Berry classic.

I asked mrs cip about going to Memphis for first round games, (did you notice the plural), and she said hell yes!  Might as well do the trifecta on Memphis songs.  The original is usually the best.  Chuck Berry is awesome!  GBR!  Like I've said previously, I'm done with the stupid freaking jinxes.  It's time to kick ass!  2024 is the year to kick down the door!

The last time I drove home from Indianapolis sucked bad. Ugh. For that reason alone I don’t want to go there. I went to bed depressed and my buddies stayed up and played the Taylor run and Kenny block for a half hour straight. The loss and the impending drive home did me in.

Not sure how this works ..but I was advised by someone in the know that Lincoln might try in the near future to be a host city.  That the restrictions that prevented Lincoln from doing so (mostly due to the hotel situation) might not be as strong as they once were. I'm not counting on it but worth a shot.  I'm sure it brings the host cities some major money.  I do wonder how much of that goes to the city and how much of that goes to the University.

Boy, I thought the deal was we'd have to close in the north end of PBA in order to have the seating capacity to be a host venue. Was I wrong or has that changed, too?

That’s what I recall also.

This is true. Basically, the Selection Committee sends you to the site closest to you based on seed. So, you'd assume things like Purdue goes to Indianapolis, UNC goes to Charlotte (and likely Duke if they are a top four seed), Houston could be a Memphis or Omaha selection, the SEC champions is likely in Memphis as well. UConn likely to Brooklyn. You get the picture.

They also will AVOID a reverse home court advantage for those two rounds as well.

Does that mean they'd most likely try and not put us in Omaha as like an 8-9 seed?

I do remember last year that Auburn was a 9 seed but played in Birmingham, which was a 2 hour drive from their campus.

Maybe that's changed too.  All I know is they said that the rules limiting where the events are hosted have been changed.
