Norm Peterson Posted October 23, 2023 Report Posted October 23, 2023 The Husker team on the floor at the above moment was Sam H, Boogie, Eli, Josiah and Matar. Matar was under the rim when Sam H got the rebound at about the FT line. Sam sprints down the floor with the ball and the camera focusses on him bringing the ball up the floor. He then does a crossover and drives to the mid-line of the floor and Matar comes back into view and you can see that Matar has already gotten down under the OTHER basket, 94 feet away from where he's first shown, and is boxing out for Sam. When was the last time we had a big man who could beat a guard to the other end of the floor? And, yeah, Sam wasn't going full throttle and didn't go in a straight line. But, still. Matar went about 94 feet in the same amount of time that Sam went about 74 feet. Matar beat EVERYONE to the other end of the floor. royalfan, cornfed24-7, Swan88 and 1 other 2 2 Quote

Huskerpapa Posted October 23, 2023 Report Posted October 23, 2023 Would it be fair to assume that the first half was likely starters versus starters while the second half was more of a mixed bag? Quote

Does it really matter? I'm sure that both coaches weren't really out there to try and "win" anything. More just getting live reps against someone other than your own team. I chalked it up to him being quirky. Seems like he had a solid year at Fresno State and he was one of the best players on their team in the last month of the season. Seems like one of those post players where he really pays off year 4. Seems like we might have been better off if Keita would have flipped when Matt A was dumped and thus Andre stuck around but it still doesn't seem like a big 'what if' even now knowing what we know. hhcmatt Posted October 16 Report Posted October 16 It would seem that Rollie Worster hit four 3s in the first half of the scrimmage at the PBA. The guy has never made more than three in a game in his entire career. HB, Jacob Bigelow, Vinny and 2 others 2 3 Quote

millerhusker Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 Would like to see a box score. Would like to know what the rotation looked like. Utah probably has more length than anyone we'll face this year. Their top 8 goes: 6'4" 6'6" 6'8" 6'8" 6'9" 6'9" 6'10" 7'1" November 4th can't get here fast enough. thrasher31 1 Quote

This-- like if we played hard to win, it's not a bad result. If we spread the minutes out, it's a pretty dang good result. How'd our shooting look in a road arena? What lineups played a lot together and who started/was in there at the end, etc. millerhusker and HuscurAdam 2 Quote
