OK, guys, y'all need to re-up your prescription for Lithium. Get rid of the high highs and the low lows.

I mean, this was just one game. Let me repeat that: Just. One. Game.

It's gonna be a slog of a season and every conference opponent is really good. Every single one. And we don't have any more talent on this roster than we did when we lost to Memphis.

So, I mean, slow your roll just a little ...

9-4 over the last 13? No. I did not realize that. That's pretty impressive actually.

Anyway, I don't want you guys to get too carried ...

Three straight wins against ranked teams? Is that some kind of record? It is? Whoa. That's pretty wild.

Still, I would just caution ...

Fred has two of our five all-time wins against ranked teams on the road? What the actual fuck? Are you serious?

Holy shit! I had no idea.

Um, I mean, try to temper your expectations because ...

Jesus Christ Northwestern beat Michigan State on the road last night?!

Um

don'tdoitNormkeepcalmdon'tfallforitthere'salotofseasonlefttoplayandwe'restillNebrasketball

Can we at least keep the "bubble watch" discussion to a minimum until after we beat Iowa on December 29?

Thanks

I don't know if anyone has said it yet - but major kudos to our Assistant Coaches for their energy and gameplan last night, and especially our new Assistant Coach Howard on the defensive effort/philosophy. Nate Loesner is all over the place helping dudes and talking. Huge upgrade.

Totally...the Assistants deserve as much credit as Coach and the players.

It is amazing how Fred can go from being the worst coach in Nebraska history to a coaching genius who can recruit and utilize his personnel masterfully in the space of one game. As Norm has noted, it is a long season and a lot can happen, but it certainly is better than the dismal outlook I had before our Florida State matchup. And I think he has provided a fine blueprint on how other teams will begin to play Creighton this year-if they can figure out a way to hold Francisco Farabello in check.

From what I can tell, Mr. Farabello usually keeps himself in check.

Ok. I can’t understate how much this game means to me. I live in Omaha and work with dozens of bluejay alums. I hear crap from them year round. They decorate my office with Bluejay stuff and troll me every chance they can get. All day I hear Kaluma’s a lottery pick, Nembhard is gonna drop 30 on you, got a text right before tipoff “42-7 at the first tv timeout”

Back in 2014, I started a bet with the bluejay alums that the loser buys donuts. So, I did, every single year except 2018. I did not do the bet this year. Our company has grown so much this past year I’d be buying like 12 dozen donuts, and at close to 19$ a dozen, I didn’t really feel like it. Well, I’m buying red donuts tomorrow and bringing them in, courtesy of Fred Hoiberg and the guys who played their butts off.

And I’m not taking the high road. I’ll be trolling them all week, no mercy.
Bluejay fans are the most unlikeable fans I know.

Sometimes life is better when you're like, "no, I am not taking the high-road. I will be as petty as possible here, thank you very much."

Been looking at the Creighton Facebook page. If a Husker fan posts...you got some asking what Husker fans are doing on a Creighton Board and then you got other Creighton fans talking about how they had hoped the Husker Football team was going to be great and that the Creighton Team is reminding them of that.  Man...they all need to seek psychological help.

The only downfall is we have to cheer for Creighton the rest of the year to make this win look good.  A piece of me is going to die doing that.

Don't think about it that way, rather think of it like this:  Creighton fans are now forced to root for us the rest of the year in the hopes that by the end of the season this won't be such a bad loss for them.  And you know that would make pieces of them die doing that...or at least it would if they weren't already hollow, dead husks of people already.

😁 Didn't we have this discussion a bit earlier this season?

In his post-game press conference Fred Hoiberg gave effusive praise to his assistants, Nate Loenser, Adam Howard, and Ernie Zeigler, for coming up with the game plan against Creighton.  Things may be taking shape for Fred and his Staff!!!

I'm sure they'll be relieved when conference play starts.  The Big East sucks this year and they'll fart out enough wins on their home court to be overrated enough to make the tournament.

It's quite humorous to see the Creighton heads just saying they needed to make 3s when all they needed to do was pressure us up the court.  I guess you can't play Shareef Mitchell when you have 'the best starting 5 in basketball' out there

That was extremely curious with Shareef.  The only thing Mitchell does at a high level is apply pressure on the other team’s ball handlers. That happens to be our Achilles heel.  Normally McDermott is a strong game planner.
