Not a step up over Morrow or Jacobson by any means....but if getting him as a 8 mpg back up to Jordy allows MJ to stay at the 4 and remain here....I guess its a win

Someone helpfully put together a short highlight reel of his undergraduate years so that we could see what kind of player he might be.  And, I suspect he won't be asking to play wing any time soon, so there is that.

I'm not sure you could find a better bizarro Morrow.  FT % is a concern, but he's definitely tough and super athletic.  I don't mind this offer at all.

Calling him a bizarro Morrow is probably being pretty generous.  He averaged a foul for every 5 minutes of play this past year.  He's more of a Moses Abraham than he is a Ed Morrow.

We cannot afford to lose Michael Jacobson AND Ed Morrow.

 

If we lose both, then our options are going to be very limited and we won't have the luxury of being picky.

Depends on which guy you might get. 2015-16 looks an awful lot like Ed on paper. Shot blocker with some post moves and what looks to be no injury history? This guy would be a great backup for Jordy.  If someone has some tape on him getting a few rebounds and holding onto the ball for 3 Mississippis then I'm thinking Moses.

Here's my favorite part about him: he looks like the type of Big I see when I turn on a mid-major game and think "Why is he playing at this level". He appears to be as athletic, if not more, than ed. Not saying he will be nearly as good, but I feel OK about this offer.

You know what...sign me up, why? Because in that brief highlight he did something that I've begged Jordy/Ed/MJ to all do...not put the ball down in going from a rebound to a dunk and power through with your shoulders
