Y'know, it's like we played really mid in stretches. And turn around and we're up 25. I was not expecting a 100-point offensive output and 31-point win over a team that won AT South Carolina and AT Ga Tech. And to do it without Berke. The takeaway for me is if Essegian gets hot, we're a tough out. But we'll see what things look like if Essegian isn't hitting.

According to ESPN BPI, our remaining strength of schedule rank is #9. Good. Almost done with non-con and the Big Ten looks good on paper, which is all that matters. Even though the eye test suggests there aren't any elite teams in the league. Really the best possible scenario for the Huskers. Just need to take care of our own business now.

The best three point shooting team in the country made their average (14), which is more than they made when they won at Georgia Tech and at South Carolina, and we still won by 31. Checked a lot of boxes tonight. The first two conference games are winnable. Lock in, boys.

First NET rankings of the year are out and Nebraska comes in at 44. Our first ranking last year was 76. Creighton is 99. Not close to a quad 1 win as of now. We kinda really need them to beat Kansas on Wednesday.

The winning team of this tournament will receive $9 million in NIL for the 2024 competition, and although pay-for-play style tournaments are against NCAA regulations, each participating team will receive $1 million in NIL payouts.

Kudos to hoiberg and staff. Idk what they had for NIL money but I’d guess a significant amount went to bringing back Williams and Gary. Was still able to get what looks like 2 dudes in essegian and Berke, 3 good role players in Morgan, meah, and Worster. Then what looks to be a worth while project in griffiths if he maintains today’s effort. is Morgan what breidenbach was billed to be? I Really like Morgan’s game. if Uhlis can get into the lane in big ten play like he did today that’s gonna be such an asset, that type of play is what last years team really missed IMO. What a fun development Jacobsen is off the bench. Different type of player than Sam is but brings the same sorta stuff to the court when we need it.

I was extremely nervous for this game, hoping that we could find some way to win, even if only by one point. I could not be more pleased with the outcome today, the team looked great, and we were able to spend much of the second half giving guys opportunities. Fred was doing all he could to get some confidence for Gavin today, too bad he didn’t hit a couple of those threes and get some confidence, because at this point it’s going to be tough to find a lot of opportunities for him to get a lot of minutes. Looking forward for conference play. That would be huge if we could somehow sneak out a win against MSU. GBR Team Berke

The more I’ve watched this team, the more I see quite a bit of stuff I like. We’re really gelling as a team and pretty early. We’ve had players buy into roles, but also step up when needed as well. Honestly, we seem like that team who makes your offense look like crap. I have a feeling we’re going to have a number of message boards this year with posts like “we’ll we just didn’t shoot it well” or “well we just had too many errant passes.” The thing about it is that a lot of that is due to our D. We’re pretty suffocating this year. That was no slouch non-con opponent we should beat by 20+. A few notes on individuals. - Conner is thriving and gaining more confidence daily. His stroke is pretty pure too. He’ll have off games for sure (KT did too) but he’ll still get his 8-10 in those games like KT. - Gavin gave us better minutes today. His shot will come, but they were good shots to take. He had much better hustle today. One play where he either missed a shot or turned it over and he hustled to get a steal from behind. - Cale is such a valuable player to have in the role he’s in because he’s going to hustle and perform while giving it 110%. That’s not an easy role to fill usually. - Meah has started to find where he’s going to fit in our O. He didn’t have a great game today by any means but looks more comfortable. - Big test in these next two. Our Creighton win looks to have put a lot of wind in our sails (much like I believe our MSU win did last year).

That was impressive - UNF didn't have a lot of interest in playing defense very deep into the shot clock, and we took full advantage - for the most part, we didn't let them lull us into a back-and-forth 3-pt shooting contest - we worked to get great shots instead of good shots. I thought we were solid defensively, outside of losing some 3-pt shooters in transition and after offensive rebounds. UNF did a good job to get into the 70s and they hit some really tough shots. They should be able to do some damage in their league. 12 steals will always play - we deflected a lot of balls. Need to get Berke healthy for Saturday - going to be a fistfight in E Lansing like always.

I agree with you, I also want to point out that the more I watch I really think we are a nightmare defensively. That’s gonna help us a lot in league play. Plus we rebound so dang well, theirs in the conference.

Didn't see us blowing them out. A very well played game, especially with one of our starters out. Nicely done!

That is actually the third Summit league team the huskers played this season, Omaha and South Dakota being the others. Because of proximity, they are economic choices.

Feels like the conference won’t have that Purdue team like we have had last couple years but will be deeper with a lot of teams on the same tier as far as talent. Don’t really see a team that stands out right now as conference champion.
