HuskerActuary Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 If Bracket Matrix updates today, we're going to see a bump in the # of brackets that we're in. I've glanced at a few that have updated through yesterday's games and we are in some that we weren't yesterday. Win today, and we will be in considerably more brackets in tomorrow's update. Timforthewin Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 From 3 to 13 brackets in two days on Bracketmatrix. Hopefully we can see that number in the 20s after our win today against Purdue! Quote

Those times were rough You must have had a great paper! Our hometown paper only published weekly and usually only covered social visits and the menu at the nursing home. We got in both, kind of, by visiting Grandma every Sunday at the home. Just publicity hounds Quote

TomEadesSucks Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Minnesota has to worry about Minnesota, and Nebraska about Nebraska. There's no set number of teams a conference gets in. The B1G may get five, six, or seven. Quote
bigred4 Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 I know the committee says that conference affiliation has nothing to do with selections, but I would guess Jim Delaney would throw a fit if the B1G which has a conference RPI of second, only gets 5 teams in. Maybe since it will be Nebraska, they won't be as outspoken, but I would think they will be campaigning for at least 6 based on the conference RPI rank. Quote

royalfan Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Lets find a way to get in the damn thing. We are a better team than the George Mason bunch a little while back. There is not a ton of separation these days between the best team and the worst at large team. And we would have the best player on the court against a whole bunch of teams. Lets get in the dance and then dance. A young team that will all be a season older by the time that thing starts. Need to win a few more games. Defense will translate on neutral courts of the dance. Lets get there. tcp and doc1394 2 Quote
hhcdave Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Lunardi just tweeted out that Nebraska is now on "the next four out." Only about 6 teams ahead of us for being in the dance. My guess? We need to win out at home, split the two road games and win one in the Big 10 Tournament and we're in. Quote

hhcmatt Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Nebraska has built their way up to a 1 seed according to a couple of sites. http://www.nycbuckets.com/2014/02/nit-bracketology-feb-24/ http://bracketmatrix.com/nit.html Not everyone projected in front of us will keep winning. If we do, we'll get in. Quote
