John Bishop is a tool.  He is one of those people that can’t ever admit when he is wrong, and always comes back with some bullshit excuse.  I hope we destroy them on December 3rd, but I got a feeling we’ll see a completely different Crayton team than the one that played today.

To say John Bishop rubs me the wrong way would be like saying Mt. Everest is tall or the Pacific Ocean is big.

I don’t - and won’t - follow any players, NU or otherwise. If he doesn’t tweet things like this after a win as well as an embarrassing loss, it just says what I already think about him and that entire program.

No one dislikes Creighton more than me, but I have no problem at all with what Scheierman had to say.  Hard to believe anyone could take that level of issue with it.

I don't understand your post. Seems like there are more fertile grounds for casting aspersions at Team Voldemort. This seems rather understandable.

Alexander is terrific. Baylor and Kalkbrenner are above average. Other than that they don’t have much IMO. Ashworth is nowhere near Nemhard. Making things way simpler than they actually are but I think it makes the most sense to put Gary on Alexander as he’s about the only guy who can get his own shot. Here’s what I think makes the most sense with what I consider our best lineup:

Ashworth - Tominaga

Alexander - Gary

Baylor - Lawrence

Miller - Williams

Kalkbrenner - Mast

Don’t love the Lawrence/Baylor matchup so maybe they just put Lawrence on Alexander. It’s just going to come down to if creighton makes the 3 pointer or not. I wouldn’t expect to see much of Mast in the post. He’s the kind of 5 man that Kalkbrenner struggles to guard.

I hate that team

In reading the comments, my favorite one was that "Neither team will make it past the 2nd round in the tournament".  Clearly someone doesn't understand our history if they think that is taking a shot at Nebraska (and Purdue) 😀

I think it was very tongue-in-cheek, a sarcastic take on Nebraska's historic struggles in the dance and Purdue  being one of the favorites to win the natty.

Probably along the lines of Purdue always seeming to choke in the tourney. . .

Thoughts on the spread for Sunday??? Creighton -4ish???

Probably more like opening at 2 and going from there depending on action.  Both KenPom and Bartorvik have the game with Creighton as a 1 point favorite and the Vegas Lines tend to mirror that. In that regard, the result of the Jay's game vs Oklahoma St could potentially move that line if the result is unexpected.

That is surprising to me as I would have guessed CU to be favored by around 8 - 10 points.

There's a lot of dumb money amongst the Husker fan base (of which Creighton's "fan" base is a subset), football lines are often way skewed towards the Huskers.  I expect irrational betting and Vegas lines to follow, especially in this matchup.

It is true, however, that KenPom's prediction has hovered around a 1-2 Creighton favorite for some time now, which honestly surprises me.  I would expect more like a 6-8 point spread in their favor, but I agree with you.

Doubt there would be that much action on this game to tilt it one way or the other and you're right about John Q Jaysker.

We'll see what Vegas spits out on Saturday night.

It is a myth that lines sku towards Nebraska unless you have a local bookie. Vegas does not work that way.
