jimmykc Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 Looks like Howard is feeling some frustration at Michigan. In a rather dull game I was half-watching as the Badgers beat them soundly, Gard called a time out for some reason with 15 seconds left. After the game the coaches had a heated exchange which ended with Howard shoving a Wisconsin assistant in the head, causing the players to enter into a shoving match with each other which will be rerun ad infinitum today on sports channels. Howard should be suspended for a few games at the least. Maybe he should be added to the list of Fred's possible replacements. Seriously, it did look ugly for the B!G image, however, since it was a nationally televised game. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

hskr4life Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 Heard Gard called a TO because Michigan was pressing his scrubs. If you want the game to end, sit back and let Wisco dribble it out. If that’s true, I have no problem with the TO. Dickie V with a ridiculous take about how it’s time time to eliminate the handshake line too. Umm… maybe eliminate the problem children… not the handshake line. Vinny, Bugeaters1, millerhusker and 1 other 4 Quote
hskr4life Posted February 20, 2022 Report Posted February 20, 2022 However, you, as a coach, can’t do that. And to defend yourself in the post game presser like you were the victim here… that’s not it. Howard looks terrible in this situation. There was also a few Michigan players that threw some big time haymakers that should be done for a good while too. Bugeaters1 and roscoe 2 Quote
Popular Post throwback Posted February 20, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted February 20, 2022 Can't we just all agree that the majority of Wisko players and coaches have very punchable faces and leave it at that? Shawn Eichorst's Toupee, NUtball, HB and 7 others 1 5 4 Quote
Faux Mike Peltz Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 No way should Howard be fired for that. I watched in slow mo- not even a closed fist strike. Kind of an open palm shove/ slap Quote
Huskerpapa Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Looked to me that Howard was trying to walk by and he was grabbed by Gard. What followed was stupid. 49r 1 Quote
Faux Mike Peltz Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 In Juwan’s defense, he has some bad memories of ill-advised calling of timeouts at the end of games… Vinny 1 Quote

This is the second time he has said he had to "defend himself" from another Big Ten coach on the sideline (the Mark Turgeon incident last year). He played victim both times. He was an entitled crybaby as a player. Nothing has changed. Quote
brfrad Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 The real question is how far did Brad Davidson fall when the assistant coach was hit? rlgyank, Nebrasketball1979, LNKtrnsplnt and 5 others 1 6 1 Quote

a0t0w0 Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Lol leave it up to Joe K to make a bad situation worse. I was only sad to see it in hi Def and realize it was a slap rather than a punch. Ban him for regular season and let him come back Quote
hal9000 Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 This would barely be a story in the 80's. I miss those days. Quote
The Polish Rifle Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 I was jealous. Our current coaches and team shows the emotion of me in a Monday morning work meeting. Quote
hskr4life Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Am I the only one who thinks the Gard “touch” wasn’t a big deal? Howard is walking through the handshake line like a baby, says something, and it appears Gard is like woahh, what’s up? It wasn’t even a forceful “touch”. More like a “woahhh slow down and let’s talk this out like grown men” touch. I mean this is two grown men. Quote
hskr4life Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 (edited) Also, it was tougher to see in the first video, but you can see it in this second. There was a Wisco player throwing some big rights too. Something tells me there’ll be more than just two coaching suspensions. Edited February 21, 2022 by hskr4life Quote
roscoe Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 So guess we can take Beilein off replacing Fred list? Quote
