LNKtrnsplnt Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 Major bummer. We knew attrition would happen. Too bad it was him. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
B-town hoopsfan Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 Figured he was a goner once he entered the transfer portal even though the writing was on the wall that hoiberg was coming. Truthfully he was likely gone even if we retained miles I felt Husker4theSpurs 1 Quote
hskr4life Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 OOF. Losing pieces is not good. Wish Tom the best. One thing it does do is open up a scholarship for Hoiberg to use. Excited to see how that goes. Quote

Gives Coach Hoiberg more flexibility to bring in guys he wants and who want to be here with him. Bugeaters1 1 Quote

thrasher31 Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 I personally think he ends up back at NC State or in that area. Their 4 star PG is treating the draft waters. Could be a good backup plan for NC State. Thought he would've flourished in a Fred offense. But I won't be upset. Gives us a chance to go get another freshman or transfer Quote
Handy Johnson Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 Just from the scuttle butt I’ve heard sounds like he was kinda Home Sick. Wish he would’ve stuck around, but good luck to the young man. thrasher31, Silverbacked1 and BigTate 3 Quote

Hope it works out for Tom. #GBRAlways Handy Johnson 1 Quote
dskurz Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 Hmm.. No appreciation for Miles, just Hunter. Kind of surprising. Quote
tjp21 Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) I had heard coaching change or not he would likely be moving on. Best of luck to the kid. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere. Edited April 3, 2019 by tjp21 Quote

We move on. GBR !!! Quote
Huskerpapa Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 He is a good kid and he did a lot of heartfelt community work. He is also a good basketball player. This doesn't shock me. 49r Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 UConn have a need for a PG on their roster? I'm not a betting man but if someone gave me UConn vs the field on where Allen lands, I'd take UConn. But wherever he ends up I wish him the best of luck! Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) As someone that transferred in College there are lots of reasons but most of all it has to do with home and family. Even if it is 200 miles from NC it is closer. Also I often wonder about kids that go to Prep Schools that are away from home. Also guys from overseas. Home and mom's cooking seems to be something that really pulls you back. Edited April 3, 2019 by Silverbacked1 hal9000 1 Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 so potentially no returning starters if roby goes pro. not good. Quote

Unless you ditch your team high and dry in the summer, make a LeBron James "The Decision" parade out of your transfer, then ditch that team's summer prep with the teammates to go learn boxing instead, then finish up your career not making it to the NCAA tournament... Right? Quote

Right? The husker social media account basically ghosted Andrew White after that. I really don't know if we would list him under our guys in the NBA if he was there. Quote

Kenya being there is not the only connection he'd have there. His former teammate at Brewster Academy Sidney Wilson just finished his redshirt freshman year there. 49r 1 Quote
