Winning on the road is tough in this conference.  So we should be happy to have a couple road wins in the conference.

Teams are 26-50 (.342 Win Percentage) on the road this year in the conference.  The Huskers are 3-4 (.428 Win Percentage)

The Huskers have 3/26 road wins in the conference or over 11% of the conference road wins.  The Huskers have played the toughest teams in the conference minus Michigan on the road.

Big 10 Road Wins

Purdue- 5

Ohio St- 5

Nebraska-3

Mich St- 3

Penn St- 2

Mich- 2

Minny- 1

Iowa- 1

Indiana- 1

Northwestern- 1

Maryland- 1

Wisconsin- 1

Illinois- 0

Rutgers- 0

Minnesota will NOT be an easy victory.  NU needs to take it to the Gophers.

Agree, it could be a rude awakening for many that think we have that one in the bag.  If they are focused, I wouldn't expect to beat them on the road.  I really hope they just don't care.

Michigan played terrible but hangs on by 3 - if they had lost this one, they would deserve to be banned from the NCAA Tournament - had a 5-pt lead in regulation & shooting FTs with 20 seconds left and somehow let Minny get it to OT - I think Michigan missed 5 billion FTs in the game total

Mich really gave Minny problems with a 2-3 zone in the 2nd half & scored a bunch at the rim once they got Murphy in foul trouble. Good recipe for us to follow Tuesday. Even when Murphy was in foul trouble, Minny kept switching everything, and he ended up on small guards several times, picked up his 5th foul trying to prevent a drive from a small guard. With as many dumb fouls as he picks up on offense, they need to try to protect him better on the defensive end.

Coffey did not play again today for the Rodents, questionable for Tuesday

KenPom has us losing two more games in the regular season.  The most likely two for us to lose is @Minnesota and @Illinois. If we can manage a split in those two I'd be pretty satisfied.

Yes, but only with a home win against Maryland. That's the important one. But yeah, I gotcha. Gotta get as many road wins as possible. Great test for the team and you need those if you're a true tourney team.

I would love to see us get off to a good start.  Too many games where we struggle out of the gate.  We should be sharper with a week off, better cuts, spacing, etc.  Its a BIG road game, it wont be easy.  If we can play a complete game, we're a really scary good team (i.e. Michigan game).  Just have to dig in and get it done.  Lastly, stay out of foul trouble *cough* Roby *cough* Jordy.

we've played well on the road lately. we'll at least keep this one close. but fans are nuts if they take any game in this conference for granted right now. Just as we can beat anyone on any given night, so can the rest of the league do to us. I'm sure the players understand this. And they also know what's at stake.

Watson is shooting 36.1% from the field, including 26.7% from three, so his struggles seem to stand on their own. He's the point guard that is also a scorer for the team the past three years. Any critique is based off of his prior expectation. It's rather doubtful that anyone had very high expectations of either Gill or ET in terms of their scoring prowess prior to the season. So, expectation is what it is.

Basically, all of the guards this year have had their moments of high-level success offensively, and all of them have had some moments of subpar performance on offense. I think all of them have brought it every night on the defensive end of the court, though.

PG of the future Isaiah Washington has lit it up the last two games with 15 and 26 points.

He's been doing it all inside the arc as he's shooting just 20% from 3 onf the year (though 32.1% in conference) He also doesn't draw a ton of contact.

Last time out against us he had a decent game with 5 points and 2 assists in 17 minutes.

With McBrayer banged up and Coffey questionable to play, the majority of your scoring should come from Mason, Murphy, and Washington

Gosh their forum really hammers pitino, for a guy that’s won 20 more games then he’s lost for his career there and had a winning record all but one year. Granted this year has gotta be a let down for them but it’s rocked by scandal. To boot he’s got a recruiting class coming in with three guys all from Minnesota, one guy ranked in the top 60 I think

What I think is interesting is in their "what coach should we open up the checkbook for" thread, Tim Miles is mention more than once as a realistic candidate to replace Pitino.
