jimmykc Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 As Willie Sutton once famously said "Because that's where the money is". Or maybe that was Eddie Sutton. colhusker, Silverbacked1, NUtball and 1 other 2 2 Quote

Red Don Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 I think it will be good for AD Bill Moos to start addressing the MBB program asap. It has got to be tough for Miles recruiting talented players when there are uncertainties how long the current coaching staff is going to be in place. I think Miles has done a great job in attracting players like Nana Akenten, Thomas Allen, and Xavier Johnson under the circumstances. Quote

Dead Dog Alley Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 If we are going to spend a lot of time and resources trying to recruit a big man, we should make sure that no other team that is recruiting him has the reputation of being the biggest cheaters in all of college athletics. Because we're probably wasting our time. Bugeaters1 1 Quote
hskr4life Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Surprised with all the problems in their athletic department. I know it’s more football, but not too long ago the basketball team was no angels if I remember right. Quote
Husker4Life Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 What is plan B? I hope we had others in mind or did we put all our eggs in one basket?? Quote

I mean we still technically have Tanner and Jordy for 2 more years, so it isn’t like we needed someone now. However, we need one in the next year at least. Quote
REDZONEDAN Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 I would like to see a solid JUCO big man for next year. Especially since I’m not 100% convinced Jordy will be on the roster next year. NUtball and colhusker 2 Quote
HuskerCager Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 So... we are in FT's final two and Jordy signals he is leaving. And within a couple hours of each other, Jordy re-joins the team and FT heads for Baylor. Coincidence? Quote

colhusker Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Not really disappointed or surprised. Kind of grown a custom to being the bridesmaid (and as a guy, I make fairly ugly bridesmaid). Quote

Swan88 Posted January 17, 2018 Report Posted January 17, 2018 It will be interesting to see how Florent Thamba does as time goes by. Will he be a project that develops over time into something great? On that score, tonight’s televised games are reminiscent of a couple bigs we recruited hard several years ago. LSU is playing: remember Elbert Robinson III? He’s never produced much and is sitting out this season (he would be a Senior) for undisclosed medical reasons. Georgia is also on tonight: remember Michael Edwards? He is a Junior now at Georgia and playing very little. Quote
hhcmatt Posted January 17, 2018 Report Posted January 17, 2018 I don't really understand why people think that what Jordy did had anything to with Thamba and vice versa. fred1212, Red Rum, khoock and 2 others 5 Quote
