One thing that helps with quads is that they move throughout the year and it's dependent on where a team finishes and not when you played them. So hopefully some of those tweener teams can jump up a quad.

What? Absolutely not. I don’t think expectations should be hosting. Don’t think we’re in line to host in my honest opinion, and with our schedule it’ll be tough/almost impossible to get there. I think making the tournament this year is the expectation and would be more than happy with that.

I can remember when Cedric Hunter & Ron Kellogg (Omaha South & NW) Started at KU & I don’t recall them being particularly singled out when they played in Lincoln.

Agree that we earned the right to host 100% and it’s still there. In fact, prior to our little 3 game slump here, we were probably closer to a national seed than not hosting. Had we won either or both of those games in Texas… we would have been close to Top 8 projected.

Watched him play in the Hi-Line Invitational Tournament in Havre' Montana several years ago. Crazy to see his name pop back up

I think this season is his extra covid year. Seems like he'd be eligible for a medical redshirt as well. The thing that really jumps out to me is that he takes 3s and last season even made them at a 39.4% clip. He's probably more like a 33-35% guy. If he can stay healthy, he's potentially a better fit than Kyle or Payne. "If he can stay healthy" carrying a lot of weight, literally and metaphorically.

I think we have choice now don't we? If you want to send your kid to a private school you can pay the tuition and send away. Now even the small private schools in Nebraska can find a scholarship for someone who can put the ball in the hoop but I don't think anyone wants to close private schools.

OSU and WSU are going to the West Coast Conference the next two years and then who knows. Big drop from the PAC12 so it is understandable that they have players entering the portal.

Got to think Kyle would like our on-court pitch. The Josiah Allick (++) role. But more ideally for Fred and William, the Jameel McKay role. Very similar players. 6'9", long, bouncy, defensive-minded. Fred's last year at Iowa State McKay was the Big 12 DPOY and 3rd team all-conference. The 3-4-5 on that team was Hogue-Niang-McKay. Hogue looks and plays an awful lot like Juwan Gary. Hoiberg has talked a lot about how he uses Mast in the same way he used Niang in the offense. The point guard on that team was Monte Morris (c'mon Chucky).

Damn, he left us without finding the real killer.

Happy to announce that despite various openings and opportunities out there that Husker Hoops Central will remain at Nebraska for its 20th season. Just got this puppy today.
