Last night's officials should probably just turn in their stripes and whistles.

 

He caught the ball here and didn't take a single dribble before dunking.

conference has shaky refs. still need to address that. B1G is playing more like the B12 now, but the refs aren't good enough to keep up with that skill level.

i agree. this refs head was up the whole time, looking for contact at the hoop. you can see he never even looked down at the court.

Honestly, I didn't have a lot of issues with the officiating last night.

 

But that was a horrible missed call.

NBA refs think this was a horrible no call.

I seriously think NBA refs get fined for calling traveling. 

 

Are we getting to that point with NCAA refs?

Was it mean or did anybody else get a playground type of play from Ill? They did something's that you don't see much except on the playground. Might also be why they are struggling.

And notice just how close the ref is to Rice. I think he took almost as many steps himself. Crazy!

I am on agreement with a previous poster about the make up calls.  It's gotten a lot worse over the years.

 

After a shaky call in a coaches' favor, he may as well do a quick hockey style line change so that the make up call on the way back down court comes on one of his bench players.

Not only was the ref close, it appears he is staring right at the player as he is (literally) running down the court.

Last nights win is more impressive after having to overcome some rather sketchy calls. Still trying to figure out what that very same official saw when there were 3 huskers about 3 to 4 feet away from an Illini player and he called a foul on TP. Appeared there was a travel on that play also.

Yes, my friend with me even commented, "They finally called a travel." Guess he was wrong.

Just saw the DVR replay, Rice actually took FIVE steps without a dribble... oh, with a ref not more than a few feet away! Wow...

The refs were terrible last night, and I usually hard ever complain.  

 

Having said that, they did seem to give us some make up calls when the screwed up.

Don't plan on that happening.  Exactly how many times do you hear about the "Point of Emphasis" being quality officiating. Unless they totally screw up and say something off color, most anything dealing with officials is done behind closed doors.
