THAT is why it pays to be "old".... THAT is why it's good that Bryce and Juwan probably don't show a TON of emotion. That's a 20 point comeback ON THE ROAD in the Big 10 in a Q1 game. Northwestern was only 10 spots behind us in the NET. 

 

This won't do a ton for the metrics, but it has to do a ton for the psyche.

Juwan was so big in turning that thing around - just refused to let us continue playing so poorly. 

 

Essegian was a very willing rebounder in the second half - he turned up the physicality versus how he's been playing & that was a big difference, too.

 

I think I'll attend NW's graduation ceremony to make sure Berry walks across the stage finally.

I’m going to give the guy who gets criticized a lot - a lot of credit for his play down the stretch, and that’s Brax. You can’t teach 7’1” with a wingspan like that. He had a few plays where altered shots and his break up of that lob was absolutely huge. And his FT shooting was good too. I know it’s matchup based, but he helped us win today. 
And a Q1 win is a Q1 win. And another road win in conference. Huge.

I remember him looking up at the scoreboard after nailing a three-pointer after cutting the deficit from 15 to 12. And you could just see on his face that he was driven to chip this thing away. Absolutely no look of despair on his face. He knew.

Can't remember who said Gavin was going to help us win a game down the stretch. His stat line isn't going to pop out, but he absolutely did in the first half by not letting them separate.

We did shoot 28 free throws to NW's 8.  A big advantage even with 6 when NW had to foul.

Seeing the raw emotion(and broken hand) of hoiberg was so huge for me. That wasn't just Brice and juwan, that was the coach willing his team to play with effort. A coach who is tired of losing to Chris freaking Collins

What a comeback.

Probably one of the best comebacks in Nebrasketball history. 
Once we started guarding Berry and Martinelli, we shut them down.

The rebounding was significantly better in the second half.

Brice and Juwan were phenomenal in the second half.
