So my wife is on board with getting tickets to the tournament if Nebraska makes it. I told her tonight that if Nebraska won, and I was there, I would very likely cry lol.

So, what would you guys do? 😂

I’d probably cry too.

Just like 2014 I'm coming to Nebraska to pick up my Dad. Then him and I are going dancing. And If we win our 1st tournament game there will be 2 grown ass men crying with you 😁

I don't remember crying in 2004 when the Red Sox finally won after my 50th year of waiting. But after taking congratulatory phone calls from friends and family, I took a long solitary walk down my driveway, thinking about all the time and angst I had expended waiting for a moment which I never thought I would see. I felt something had fundamentally changed in my world view. A lunar eclipse served as the backdrop for my pensive mood. I think a Husker NCAA win might evoke a similar feeling, although there would be another game to worry about. For excellent descriptions of the sensations felt by fans, I recommend the book, "Win it for" by members of the Sons of Sam Horn website.

My wife and I have taken the Thursday/Friday of the first weekend of March Madness off for 10 years straight. Always fun to watch the tourney, always ready to go if we make it.

Last time we were in it was her match day at UNMC and we rushed down Farnam to watch at Crescent Moon. Emotional roller coaster watching us lose right after learning we’d be moving across the country.

Where did she match?

I was sure we were going to win in 2014 at San Antonio and I was going to witness it and we laid a big egg against Baylor. We played better under Smith after Miles was kicked out.

We did. But that's what it took for the refs to stop calling the BS game they were calling. We like to talk about the refs a lot in this board. That game was the worst game  by a set of refs I have ever seen.
