Interesting that Hunter or whoever gave this information to Rothstein didn't include Nebraska. Kind of like how we weren't in his top 12 list a couple years ago. It's not for a lack of effort. Hoiberg and Loenser are going to visit him in person this weekend.

In the context of not signing a talented guy which gets you fired or signing a guy who ruins your team chemistry that gets you fired, having some guy travel to your campus to figure it out is arguably the best time and money you can spend.

You can't take that statement in a vacuum because then you lose the context that this conjecture is based upon the fact that a guess is being made that we will have a better NIL offer than West Virginia.  In the context of us potentially trying to spend more money than someone for a player I'd surmise that we value him plenty.

Don’t see Wrightsell as a PG. very similar to KT or Lawrence which is why I’m guessing he goes elsewhere.

The difference, and the attention they're getting, being they were a 20-13 team going into Selection Sunday and a Sweet 16 team. Four seniors and not a single one of them are in their Top 6 scoring production.

 

Ours is just pure desperation to land a respectable starting roster.

To be fair, while we did fly out yesterday… it was also Easter.  I wasn’t expecting to hear much with a holiday anyways.  Kudos to the coaches who took time away from family on a holiday to go visit one of our top priorities.
