Watched a bit of the ends. Keisei hit a late 3.  Finished with 5 points in like 12 minutes of action.

Germany is one of the bigger teams in FIBA and it looks like the Japanese team decided that Keisei wouldn't work against that height.  Sunday's game vs Finland should be more competitive.  If Germany can knock off Australia, Japan could potentially play Australia on Tuesday with a chance to advance.  However, Australia is likely to beat Germany and is absolutely going to crush Japan. I'd assume Keisei is back by next weekend.

Also— Keisei’s guy at the end was face guarding as much as possible.  Even off ball.  It appears Germany wasn’t wanting him to even get a shot up.

Nebraska's 4 on 4 offense worked pretty well against Iowa last year when they guarded Keisei with Muray.

Yep— how other guys perform and step up will greatly affect whether Keisei is going to be able to do a fraction of the stuff he did at the end of last year.  If we don’t have anyone step up, they only have to shit down one guy.

It is just super easy to take a guy out that moves well without the ball and has really deep range.  Or not.

Let 'em. That's what's great about Keisei is they have to stick to him like glue and it opens up stuff for others.

 

And the nice thing about our roster this year is that, from the looks of things, we have other players who can make them pay.

Use him as a screener.  KT's man will not want to switch off him.  If they do, screen for a big and pick and pop.

Tominaga has helped lead a 10+ point comeback!  Has hit multiple 3’s, has multiple assists, a big steal.

 

Germany beat Australia today, so a Japan win would make a win and advance situation for Japan on Tuesday against Australia.
