Wednesday marks the end of the spring signing period for the 2019 class. Nebraska is not expected to add anyone else, which means the class will finalize with Cross, Western Nebraska Community College guard Jervay Green, Omaha Creighton Prep forward Akol Arop, Salt Lake Community College guard Cam Mack and French forward Yvan Ouedraogo.

 

We're not going to add any non-transfers by the May 15th deadline. I'm unclear on the rules for signing current year kids....what happens if they commit after May 15th? Also, notice how this list doesn't include transfers/grad transfers.

When I read that the second time I think the part that said "Nebraska is not expected to add anyone else" is referring to the May 15th date.

May 15th is fairly meaningless. There's always a handful of HS guys that commit after the Spring Signing Period. Basically, they can no longer sign an LOI, but can still sign the financial aid agreement.

I think he meant incoming freshman.

 

I would assume with adding Walker we will hold for a bit. Obviously if Roby comes back we are all filled up. I dont think Roby will be back but we can certainly wait to see if a mid summer guy comes up.

 

I would really like to get a grad transfer big. I dont mind adding Walker but we still need some bodies for this year.

When one parses this statement, it becomes virtually meaningless. Who is doing the expecting? Crayton grads? Everyone in the State? Joe Loonardy? And how about subtraction? Would that change the expectations in any way? A waste of precious newsprint.

A little birdie did tell me today that a few Jaysker fans are putting away their sweater vests and turning full tilt to Nebraska.
 
Quite frankly, if true, I am not certain that brings joy to my heart!

I guess we will find out if the concourses of pinnacle bank are filled with people talking and sipping on wine during the game.

Red sweaters instead of blue.
