NU beat the uneblinstu Christmas party curse, so that’s cool. I didn’t get to watch much of the game, but it sounds like it went well. I’ll watch it later and get back to you.

The first 15 minutes didn't go so well, but we got a couple of shot clock violations and things changed.

We came out and looked like we were ill, or that we were rusty, or we studied too much; because we looked bad the first 15+ minutes.  Then we flipped a switch and played well from that point forward.

Okie State is not as good as I thought they would be.  They will struggle to win in the Big XII.  So it is a game we should have won by 20 to 30, and we did.

Big games by James, Tom and Cope.  Others did okay.

I hope that we can get healthy and get back to Lincoln safely.

Quick summary:

1. We won

2.  We struggled the first 17 minutes, then proceeded to suffocate them over the final 23.

3.  We are damn good

4.  Allen continues to play well and develop into a consistent scorer.  His defense is phenomenal.

5.  Did I say we are damn good.

6.  JPJ appears to have shaken out of his early season 3 point shooting slump.

7.  We are a damn good basketball team and I love this team!

I will be refreshing the AP and Coaches poll rankings all morning and look forward to seeing those numbers in front of our name!

This worked perfectly. We probably got a bigger home court advantage there than we would here. Remember no students this time of year. This should be nearly a safe Quad 2 win. Coming into this game despite the 4-5 record they were 62 in NET rank.

They will get their transfer in there go 4-14 in the big 12 and slide into the top 100.

Plus we won by 10+ so our NET Rank is looking great! We should move back into the top 25 imo and we have enough games for me to think it’s real. Just can’t drop the ball against one of the next two and we should be ranked going into conference play!

Sitting here and reflecting on this win.  It wasn't too long ago that if we had played like we did the first 17 minutes of this game, we would have been beaten.  And the beating would likely have been dagger like.

This team didn't panic.  Instead, they coiled and literally beat Okie State into the floor.  Goodness, that last 23 minutes or so was (as I like to say) a curb stomping performance.

I missed most of the 1st half but did get to watch 2nd half. OSU had nobody that could guard James. And when James is looking for open teammates the offense is fun to watch. His pass to Tanner for easy bucket was nice to see as was the quick flip to Roby that turned into 3 point play. Thomas Allen seems tp get better every game. If he continues to hit outside shots that will stress lots of defenses. Copeland looks very comfortable taking those mid range jumpers and continues to put up nice numbers without getting noticed for it.

I love love love this team.  One of the best 9-2 starts I can remember.  Our only two losses are both Quad 1 games away from home.  We’ll be fine I think.

- Palmer was a man amongst boys tonight.  OSU had no answer and no one who could guard him.

- Our starting 5 (including Allen) is probably one of the best all around in the country.  I firmly believe that.

- Should be 11-2 heading into conference play #2.  Don’t even tell me you were going to be upset with that.  I would’ve taken that any day of the week before the season.

- Need to take care of business in these next two.  CSF isn’t great but they aren’t terrible.

- Kudos to Tim for beefing up our non-con. That win tonight is a hell of a lot better than beating some SWAC team with no students in PBA.

- A 10-1 Non-Con lays a solid foundation for the conference season.  Go 1-1 to start January play and we’ll be talking seeding.  I’m already almost to the point of talking seeding.

1. JPJ doing some great things. I like how he’s now becoming more consistent at the foul line.

2. Thomas Allen is starting to turn a big corner and I can’t wait to see what he does in conference play.

3. Someone needs to get these guys some blackshirts cause the Defense is nasty in a good way.

4. Not a great night for Roby and Watson on the offensive side, but made up for it on the other end.

5. Costello’s 3 and his teammates’ reactions is what makes this team so much fun to cheer for.

6. Sioux Falls brought it tonight. We need to make that place PBA north or mini PBA or my personal favorite, the ATM.

Great place to play when students aren’t on campus. Any chance Mr. Mors was there?

12:02.  Second half.

This was the play that made me think we learned a lot from the Minnesota loss.  We had an offensive rebound and Palmer considered bringing it back out to run clock.  You could see the light go off like “Nah.  We’re gonna murder you instead.”  Drove it to the rack and got two free throws instead.

The same attitude was there when we beat the shit out of Creighton.  That Minnesota loss is helping us big time.  We have had two A games since.

Tom Allen is starting to look like his high school tapes.  The kid is a gifted scorer.

Great, great defensive effort again.

Glad to see TM get a special win.

The OWH editing department is struggling a little bit.  Either that or they let Nywatawa write the caption:

Unfortunately, I don’t believe many good teams will want to play us there because it’s PBA north.
