i think we start out 11-2 going into the maryland game jan 2nd.

 

then i think we slump a bit in conference play due to lack of depth and a better overall big 10 conference. 9-9 in conference.

 

20-11 going into the conference tourney. win 1 in the conference tourney.

 

i think we finish 21-12 and get a 10 seed in the tourney.

 

then i think we make it to the 2nd round of the ncaa tourney but lose to a 2 seed.

 

22-13 with our first ncaa tourney win will be the final result.

I quit making preseason predictions like this after I once predicted we'd go 34-4 and go to the Final Four.

 

But, dammit, that team shouldn't have lost to Murray State.  Shouldn't have lost at Colorado.  Shouldn't have lost at home to Oklahoma State.  Shouldn't have lost to Missouri in the Big 8 tournament.  And then that would have made them 30-3, and a 1 seed.  And then I could have possibly laid claim to one of the few accurate predictions I have made in my life.
