Norm Peterson Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 We weren't within a bucket of beating Creighton, so while a win there would have done the most to boost our RPI (road win and all), the next most helpful win would probably have been dumping KU at home. Quote
HuskerFever Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 St. John's. That thing was just an embarrassing SJU highlight show. Quote
unl Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Kansas has the biggest wow factor for the committee. Penn State would have given NU an easier track to 11 or 12 wins. But NU can still do that. Win all or most home games and take care of the bottom half of the conference on the road and penn state will not hurt later on. But it hurts the mojo today. Quote
colhusker Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Kansas given who they are. Last night's lost hurts in the sense that if we had just made FTs we win. We gave last night's game away at the line. ONLY saving grace I got to watch it with my Granddaughter! hal9000 1 Quote

Dean Smith Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Great exercise. To each their own but I probably won't have enough time to read this thread. I have some mousetraps to check around the house. What makes that task similar to reading this thread is that after checking a couple of traps I can't even feel the cheese let alone taste it. hal9000 1 Quote
LNKtrnsplnt Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Living in Omaha, so creighton. We were in control for 3/4 of that game and it fell off the rails. Quote

PimpMario Posted January 13, 2018 Author Report Posted January 13, 2018 Man, we got some Masochists up in here. Isn't every Husker basketball fan a masochist by definition? jimmykc, tcp, HolyBobpilgrimage and 2 others 2 1 2 Quote

Huskerpapa Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 I die a bit with each and every loss. Can you imagine the feelings around here if our last second shots versus Kansas and PSU had fallen??? Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 PSU, it’s a conference game and 4-2 is way better than 3-3. Quote
tcp Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 PSU. A Kansas win would have been a fine upset and a nice feather, and certainly a difference-maker if we're on the fence with the committee. PSU, however, was the game by which we get on the fence in the first place. This last loss was our most painful and most damaging. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
northwillriseagain Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 Well, per most Husker basketball (and regularly football now)seasons, there’s about 5 games already that just rip me apart Quote
jimmykc Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 To highjack this thread in a slightly different direction, we now have 12 games left. I figure we can still have three losses in the regular season and remain a viable bubble team. If we get that fourth loss , it will become the one that hurts the most. On a positive note, we can still have a 15-3 league mark. I think that is more possible than a 3-15 record, n'est pas? jayschool and Silverbacked1 1 1 Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 I haven't been disappointed with any losses, and I've been pleasantly surprised by a couple of wins. The team is meeting expectations. It's been a breath of fresh air. No bad losses. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

hskr4life Posted January 14, 2018 Report Posted January 14, 2018 Honestly what hurts the most... was being so close. I had so much to say and yet... watched the game walk away. And never knowin what could've been. nuhusker7 1 Quote

Huskerone Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 KU, could've been a much needed resume win. Not many of those left on the schedule. Quote
