James looked like an NBA player tonight.  He definitely is one if he keeps shooting 60% from 3.  If he can keep these numbers up, he’s got a college body of work to bolster his chances.  

 

His height/length make him a MUCH different prospect than, say, Tai or AWIII.  He might mess around and make a roster.

I watched much of the game and didn’t realize Andrew White was involved.  

But White only played 4 minutes and was 0 for 1, with zeros everywhere else on the stat line.

Not as efficient tonight (4-11, 2-8 from 3), but he still led the team with 18 pts, and went to the line 10 times (8-10).

Another nice Roby game vs Croatia today. 9 pts on 4/4 shooting with one three pointer, led team in rebounds in 25 minutes of play with two impressive slams, and best of all, 1 turnover in the summer league's highest- turnover game.

watching roby on espn2 right now. rough first quarter. crazy how much smaller he looks in this league.

Roby update: Mavs waived Giannis' little brother, which may be good news for Roby. Roster is pretty much set and they want to have 2 players on two-way contracts this year. It appears Josh Reaves will be one of those players, although I can't find anything official on that. The other spot will apparently either go to Roby or Daryl Macon, who had a two-way contract with the team last year. Hopefully Roby has earned that spot!

I'm also hoping that JPJ has a decent shot at getting a training camp invite. It seemed that our other players who made summer league rosters signed to play overseas right away after summer league ended. The fact he hasn't yet has me hoping he has a shot at the League!

For anyone who's interested. No clue which Chick-fil-A though. They'll probably announce it again over the next couple days. I work that day until 7 but I'm still gonna try to get over there after.

Minimum salary contract. He’ll attend camp with the team. After camp they’ll either waive him or convert it into a two-way contract. Even if they waive him they’ll still retain rights to him if he chooses to play in the G-league (and he’ll get a 50k bonus).
