  4. Elf pajamas for me, my wife, and 2 elementary aged kids. Pretty easy to spot in the sparse crowd on Christmas Day and we got our 45 seconds of time on ESPN2.

  7. I was right there. The guy said "Hey Ballo" and of course Ballo looks right at him, then he asks why he only had 8 points and how much he was getting paid for that? No vulgarity was involved whatsoever, was pretty normal banter. Ballo got pissed, pointed right at the guy a couple times and said something like I'm gonna F you up! Was pretty damn funny.

  8. Anyone else catch Ballo pointing out fan sitting in courtside chairs by husker bench during free throw late in game? Ref intervened slightly. Had a friend sitting close and asked him and he said a guy was asking Ballo if it was worth the money to go to Indiana and get his a** kicked by Nebraska was worth it? Ballo's replied 3 times with "I'm gonna f****** kill you!! Friend was worried because Ballo was pointing and hollering at him instead of guy who made the comment.

  9. We also went 10 years ago. The basketball was frustrating and games in the middle of the day twice hurt the tourism stuff, so I wouldn't necessarily do it again, but it was still the best vacation I've ever had. I also had a selfie with Miles, an embarrassing interaction with Adam Sandler on the street and was made fun of on the TV broadcast Christmass day because the family wore elf pajamas to the game.

  10. Hake She really has improved since she got here. Pure hard work has gotten her there. She's pretty solid overall, just using the tools she has. Has learned the college game. And the Kendall's seemed to have broken out finally. They both have put in good minutes this year. And yes, some of the next several games could be ugly.

  11. I've done this following an injury and the PT kept reducing my effective weight until I could jog without pain. Which was really cool. And then the bitch said, "Now, think how much better you'd feel if that's how much you really weighed."

  14. Some of could use this as we progress through middle age. Just gradually decreasing the impact rather than increasing it.

  17. Because of Rollie's foul trouble in the first half this was the first game this season when either Worster or Ulis weren't on the court more more than 5 minutes in a game. (Fred mentioned in the post game this the first time they got to see Brice at the point) They are so in a timeshare that either of them have been on the court at PG approximately 97% of the time but they've been on the court together less than 3 minutes this season. They both played for 88 seconds together at Creighton. Otherwise they played 1 defensive possession together vs FDU and St Mary's.

  18. I have never been so wrong about a player as I was about Ubel. It has taught me to be much more patient.

  19. Norm, you must’ve had a similar vantage point as me. I saw the exact same thing. So did my buddy who came to the game. There was a time when Meah was posting down low and was deep and Berke could’ve gotten the ball to him and passed it around the outside. I think that had partly something to do with it. Hoping it’s all water under the bridge now.

  20. Whoever talked about Meah not running P&Rs without Wooster may be onto something. I think the game just has not slowed down for him. He's seems very tentative whenever he has the ball out top of the key. Heck, even without the ball. But his passes were slow, lazy and telegraphed. It's like you could see the gears turning slowly in his head as he's processing where to go with the ball and he's scoping out his target long enough that even a fat guy like me could jump the passing lanes. It seemed to be defenses really started playing the passing lanes aggressively as soon as he got the ball out top. Something to watch.

  21. Citing the Theory of Infinite Universes, within my universe I did not observe the phenomenon you mentioned therefore I conclude there is no problem between the two teammates. Within your universe the dynamics may be different.

  22. OK, so I waited to see if anyone else would bring this up. I didn't see it (maybe I missed it; if so, sorry) so here goes: The first time they subbed out in the 2nd half against IU, Braxton and Berke had an animated exchange at the end of the bench, so much so that Coach Z got involved. Second time they subbed out, they bumped shoulders going passed each other walking back and forth to the end of the bench. And neither turned to say "excuse me" or whatever. Interesting dynamic. Anyone else notice?

  23. In a similar vein, you could add Johnny Trueblood and Tanner Borchardt.

  24. Anyone going to Hawaii? I went the last time we played in the Diamond Head Classic. We never really took a trip over Christmas so we decided to get some sun in December. It rained most of time we were there. (expect for the afternoon when we arrived and of course the day we left) Stayed in the same hotel as the team and talked to Coach Miles a little and it was kind of fun running into the players. If you go, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay is a must. Even if it rains!

  26. Minnesota - ok it was 19! But the larger point imo is that this team still has quite a bit of potential even without Potts, but is generally underperforming. Of course losing Potts hurt, but other than Hake none of the veterans has played consistently well or noticeably elevated their games. Occasionally yes, consistently no.

  27. A good road test for us coming up on Saturday at GT. Would be nice to get a W as our road trip to CA will not be easy. Will need the type of start we had against MN these next three games.

  28. Murray State coach Steve Prohm replaced Hoiberg at Iowa State after his first stint as Murray State’s head coach. He won a few conference titles with the Cyclones before things went horribly wrong. The Racers are frustratingly streaky this season..we’ll see which team shows up in Hawaii. - Murray State alum and Husker fan
