  1. We'll be in at least one close game this year??

  2. UAPB shooting regressed to the mean. Huskers contributed by putting more effort on arc d and Huskers started using Griesel in a pseudo Derrick Walker post-distributor role.

  3. Keisei's all around game has improved this year.

  4. One area I see as improvement is we seem to care about boxing out. Maybe it's just me.

  5. Won't be at the game today. Gave my tickets to a friend of mine and his six year old son. Letting my friend enjoy a father/son moment at a Husker Basketball game.

  6. Nebraska Cornhuskers (2-1) vs Arkansas Pine Bluff (1-5) Date: Sunday Nov 20, 2022 Time: 2:30 pm Arena: PBA Broadcast: BTN Arkansas Pine Bluff Head Coach: Solomon Bozeman Location: Pine Bluff, ARConference: SWACNickname: Golden LionsLast time out: Lost to Cleveland St.Shirt not to wear: Black, Gold, fur Opening Line: Nebraska by 19.5 Other: Nebraska is 5-0 all-time vs APB As you can see, this will be APB's 7th game already. Their entire non-con schedule consists of being buy-game opponents with 4 non-D1 at home This is Bozeman's 2nd year as a head coach. Last year he made a name for himself by making his team run windsprints at Iowa St Player to watch: Shaun Doss The 6'5" 5th year guard leads the team in scoring at 20 points per game. He played his first 3 years at APB before transferring to SIU Edwardsville and then returning back to Arkansas. Others to watch Kylen Milton - 6'4" pg can get his shot but they're not going in this year. Turnover prone. Chris Greene - The 6'8" Cleveland St transfer is a stretch 4 type, takes the most 3s on the team; Career 33.3% shooter from 3. Ismael Plet - 6'8" Oral Roberts transfer is the starting center; best offensive rebounder on the team AC Curry - The 6'5" JUCO guard off to a terrible start from 3, shooting 4-22 Brahm Harris - 6'6" glue guy type player who averages about 3 shots a game UNL Game Notes Probable starters for Nebraska 5 Sam Griesel G 6-7 25 Emmanuel Bandoumel G 6-4 0 C.J. Wilcher G 6-5 4 Juwan Gary F 6-6 15 Blaise Keita C 6-11 Bench 30 Keisei Tominaga G 6-2 32 Wilhelm Breidenbach F 6-10 10 Jamarques Lawrence - G 6-3 12 Denim Dawson - F 6-6 33 Oleg Kojenets F 7-0 12 Sam Hoiberg G 6-0 31 Cale Jacobsen G 6-4 35 Henry Burt F 6-6 24 Jeffrey Grace III G 6-3 * 13 Derrick Walker F 6-9 Injured 3 Quaran McPherson G 6-3 - Out for the Year *Availability Unknown The Skinny: It seemed like a tall order for Nebraska to go into New York and knock off St Johns and for a half it seemed like they might be able to pull it off. The Johnnies came out punching the 2nd half and Nebraska had no answer to the point it looked like they gave up at the end. On one hand this happens to even some of the best teams in D-1 but on the other hand it's pretty safe to lean into this being another brutal year under Fred Hoiberg. You're likely not going to get much clarity this Sunday as Arkansas Pine Bluff isn't a good team despite almost knocking off TCU on opening night. The Golden Lions have 3 scoring threats in Doss, Milton, and Greene where Doss is the guy you really need to track. The rest of the team are complimentary scorers. Nebraska could find itself in trouble again as APB will gamble and bring pressure. If Nebraska gets flustered and misses enough FTs, they could be in real trouble. However, Nebraska should be able to maintain enough of a rebounding edge where they'd be able to overcome a poor offensive day. Seems like Nebraska will be hungry enough here to bounce back. Prediction: Nebraska 80 - 59 View full article

  8. 3-0 in buy games - just 1 to go to a perfect season - haven't done that in a while.

  9. Good team effort. I will also credit the staff for making proper adjustments at half. What was starting to look like a debacle, ended with a comfortable win.

  11. Halves like these give you hope we can scrap and win some games this year. We can be so bipolar it seems.

  12. Ref was wide open for a three on at UAPB pass

  13. Arkansas Pine Bluff is not as good when we actually guard the 3 point line. Who would guess?

  14. And they are "getting" at a 67% rate from 3, which is probably better than we shoot FT

  15. UAPB is a group of guys who don’t care about anything but getting theirs. Right now they are shooting hot but. We always seem to play so tight.

  16. Exactly. It points to a fundamental lack of defensive fundamentals. We give up buckets to anyone and everyone.

  17. Historically we have to be the leaders in the stat of kids that don't usually score much that have career shooting nights when they play us and no one will convince me otherwise.

  18. He's a clone of the Iowa/Illinois bench kids who has a career night against us a few times each season. Literally he has more points against us in one half than in his entire career (5 games) at UAPB

  19. You'd think a white guard playing on an HBCU school's basketball team would be an easy scout. He's got one job.

  21. Free Throws will lose us at least 1... if not multiple games... this year. Mark it down.

  23. They really gotta stop playing "Bring Em Out" when the team is already out on the floor.

  24. This isn’t club where you go get players to fit your system. National teams need to find a system where you can get you best players on the field. That includes Musa. You have to find a way to get him on the field with Weston. Aaronson, Reyna, Pulisic, Adams, and probably Weah. Won’t happen though. Our manager is almost as stubborn as Southgate. I don’t think either has ever put their nations best team on the field. We’ve had injuries in the front half but Brooks sitting at home and Long on the roster is almost criminal. He wants to play out of the back and then loads the roster with center backs that have no technical ability. Jordan shouldn’t be anywhere near this team either. Anyone of the young 9’s would be a serious up grade and a needed plan B.

  25. Similar to the Creighton game.... Teams that go after us physically, both offensively, and defensively (sp)... seem to break us down.

  27. Shelley, Weidner, Markowski, Krull and Bourne, are far too talented to be this bad.

  28. 5 of 24 from three range won't cut it. Last year, we hit 12 threes (12/29). That's another 21 points. Drake also had 27 turnovers last year. Hope it was just one bad game. But to your point, better offense and defense would have won this game. Hoping this was just one bad outing.

  30. Hard to believe #19 was still on the sideline. Then to see him run out to the end zone sans his helmet was unbelievable. That said, if we had our offensive line from 1971, even though they'd be 70 years old, they would be better and out perform our current offensive line. Unbelievable that they are as bad as they are.

  31. What’s most disheartening is the B1G West is absolute garbage this year & we’re the worst team. [Northwestern has entered the chat room] A team who hasn't won a game inside their own country in 400 days.

  32. No chance. I think this Wisconsin loss took everything left out of this team.

  33. Last year NE won 89-68 with Haiby with 15, Scoggin with 16, and Cravens with 2. Need more and etter offense and defense.

  35. Watching the football game today. We went up 14 - 3, but I thought our chance to win was near zero. We were certain to find a way to lose this game, and lo and behold we did.

  36. That’s who I think the Starters SHOULD be once Walker is back. It’s time we play the “hand we’re dealt” so to speak. Go with our Big Lineup & try to put as many athletes on the floor as we can at the same time. What we might lack in outside shooting they can hopefully make up for with Defense, Hustle Plays, & Put Backs.

  37. ‘Where’d you see that? Great news if Walker is back

  38. Husker Ladies lose by 18. 62-80! Hard to win when you're shooting 31% FG & 21% from three when your opponent is shooting 55 & 43.

  39. Don't even need to finish watching Typical Amy Williams team Don't play defense ever Conditioning still sucks ALWAYS!! I have never seen such a thing. Our girls can't even keep feet under them. Drake looks like they been walking the whole game Other notes Let's hope Maggie and Sam make a difference Can Jazz get her shot back I would of never guessed our transfers would of been that big of a miss I still sadly don't think Amy will ever be able to recruit to make Nebraska a contender and will always be middle of the pack but better than last like the guys
