Minnesota the second B1G team in as another 8 seed. Will face Notre Dame the second round!

Iowa with a 3 seed has an easy route to sweet 16.

Northwestern the 4th B1G team in the dance to face Arkansas.

Iowa State at 18 - 12 is a 10 seed.

My guess is a 9 or 10 seed for NU.

Record wise we should be 8 or 9 seed. If they take Rachel's injury into effect, may drop us to 10 seed.

I've been watching Hastings College women in Sioux City have there been any other surprises?

Went to the selection show watch party at Hendricks.  Good turnout of media and coaches from other sports.  Everyone in good spirits. Rachel still using two crutches.   Shimmy very fun and vocal, working the crowd and players.   Shawn The Ghost Eichorst talked to exactly zero fans and boosters.

Did you expect anything else from him? the big boosters will tire of him in a couple of years.

6'6" and 3 6'4" players means it's not a good match up for NU.  They played South Carolina to 4 points early in the season, lost by 2 to Duke in Durham and to Michigan State by 13 in December.  It's all about match-ups and the height differential could be overwhelming.  IF the Huskers did win they would face and extremely tall and deep front line in South Carolina.  Tough assignment for the Lady Huskers.

That was one of my very favorites to attend living out there. So many great games. Who impressed?

As fat as teams, it was a fairly balanced field this year. The final four was aaall GPAC teams . Briarcliff come in as a 5 seed and made it to the semis, I think concordia will beat morning side tonight. You can watch the final on ESPN 3 tonight. Concordia has a guard that can flat shoot.
