Did anyone count how many times he screamed "THAT'S BULLSHIT!" to the ref before getting T'd up?

When you're a hall of famer, I guess it takes a whole lot more to get thrown out of a game!  LOL

So there's the team that is kind of up-and-coming. They were projected to finish last in their conference, but are currently in the middle of the pack right now. They've got this guy who has incredible talent who is likely to get drafted into the NBA in the near-future. They are 7-2 in their last nine games in a basketball powerhouse conference. They beat Ohio State, nearly beat Michigan at the buzzer, and beat Michigan State on the road. They are currently a bubble team, but look like a 7 seed or higher right now.

You should check them out:

This late in the season, bubble teams losing is more beneficial to us than our past opponents winning (unless it is a huge win, the effect on our RPI is very minimal). Therefore, I think these are the most important games for us today:

1 PM

UCONN vs SMU (CBS Sports Network)

5 PM

BUTLER vs Providence (FS1)

7 PM

USC at California (FS1)

8 PM

WASHINGTON ST. at Oregon (Pac12)

Any of the last three happening would be huge for us.

Fixed it! Good catch. Those pesky timezones...

Lundari has us as the seventh team out right now. Just gotta keep winning. Any loss gonna hurt us at this point, I think. But other teams losing sure helps too!

Joey has Tenn and Providence over us? Yeah...not seeing it.  We need to finish 3-2 at the very least and we will still be sitting okay IMO.  Other bubble teams won't be winning out either.

It's more important for Nebraska to just win. Conference standing means nothing. What is complete garbage is espn and jerry palm has 5 or 6 big east teams in, which is a joke. Nebraska simply needs to win. If we get to 19 in regular season we will be in.

Sort of. I think everyone understands that this thread is only relevant if Nebraska keeps winning (which is of course the #1 most important thing). But there are only a set number of bids... and if we have a "good" but not "great" ending to the season, other bubble teams may very well determine whether we get in.

For RPI purposes....I assume we want Michigan to win since they played us twice?  I know the "great" win vs MSU looks that much better, but I would think we want Michigan to win?  This correct?

I don't know if they can do it, but if UAB could get under 100, that would be huge.  They have jumped up 18 spots in a week, beating a 267 team and a 169 team on the road.  They play an 82 and a 65 team at home to end the season.  Plus another road game against a 300 team.  That would eliminate a bad loss.  Our other 2 losses were on the road in conference and in the rematch we blew them both out.

Providence survives at Butler.  Florida State up 6 with 2 minutes to play against Pitt.  Unfortunately, other bubble teams are also taking care of business today.
