ajb5856 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Just to double check, but those visits are "officials" right? And each recruits gets a total of five? Yes and yes. Total of 5 officials allowed so with Ed taking those 2 he's still allowed to take 3 others if he wants. Will be interesting to see where he takes them. Quote

huskerbaseball13 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 That's Miami weekend. Should be a pretty crazy weekend in Lincoln for him. hhcmatt, ShortDust, HuskerActuary and 2 others 5 Quote

I don't think it is a problem because they go hand in hand. these kids play so many AAU and high school games that football season is really the only time they can come and see what Lincoln is like during a sporting event. Also more students and things to do for a football game weekend. Durning their basketball season they most likely wouldn't get to see a game or stay more than one night. Plus I think that all the coaches help recruit kids to this school no matter the sport. And finally, Ed's dad gets to be back for another game. NeHoops and ShortDust 2 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 The cool part is that his dad played football for NU so it obviously has a little more meaning for their visit than any normal other kid that would visit. Silverbacked1 and Nebrasketballer 2 Quote
BrasketballIfYouNeedThem Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 You'd be nuts not to see the upside in bringing a recruit in during a football weekend. Quote

I always just wish that some kids would be able to make it for an actual bball game, but it makes sense to why they can't. Ed's dad has to be pumped to come see the Miami game tho! Quote
OurDecay Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 The 1994 national championship team is celebrating its 20-year reunion for the Miami game. Ed Morrow was still on the football roster in 1994, before injuries ended his career. He was going to be in town anyway. It only makes sense to line up his son's official visit with that trip. Cornhoopers Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Hopefully, he gets plenty of pressure from his pop's old teammates to go to NU. Quote
Brandon4Real_X Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Getting close for a shut down? If he doesn't commit while in Iowa you really have to like our chances. Oh I love our chances but don't we usually lock the thread at 20 pages of did we kill that? Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 I am thinking that Ed sees how his dad is still seen as a Husker even though he wasn't a star. And then he will see how he might become a god if he came here with his talent set. Just gotta hope. Quote

kleitus Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 by the time this recruitment is over he'll probably be well over 30 pages. maybe 30+ is the extra good luck lol Quote
49r Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 by the time this recruitment is over he'll probably be well over 30 pages. maybe 30+ is the extra good luck lol I addressed that very concern earlier on in this thread: We're going over 20 pages on this one too...easily. But a though occurred to me just now. Maybe it's not that going over 20 pages is the curse....maybe it's not getting over like 50 pages on a kid is what's the problem. We just need to post MORE in these recruiting threads!!! LSEHusker and Brandon4Real_X 2 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 But he's not "officially" excited until Brian Rosenthal tweets it. Quote
kldm64 Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 If we don't land this kid, it isn't for lack of effort from the coaching staff. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

AuroranHusker Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 I think a lot of schools 'want' Ed Morrow on their team, but I believe the Huskers 'need' Ed. Hopefully the Morrows are 'N'! GBR Quote
lanigan123 Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 Just my opinion but I think this kid is in the bag. He isn't as big as Akoy but is a more complete player at this stage. Would love to see him get to a legit 6 8. He plays like a beast inside. Quote
