Braxton Meah is N

Recommended Posts

Great job by the staff getting him. His junior year highlights / stats when he was healthy are pretty nice.

9 pts, 8rbs, 2blocks, 70%+ fg%.

Those stats are very comparable to Cliff Omoruyi or Aidoo from Tennesse and people would be jumping for joy if we got them.

Happy about this one for sure.

Here's a paragraph from a Washington basketball site called "Huskieswire":

"Meah’s loss is a big one for Washington’s frontcourt, as he was an integral piece of the team’s defense under coach Mike Hopkins. Over his two years with the Huskies, he averaged 7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while also recording 77 blocks."

A ton of holes in this guys game, but he does some things we just simply have not had in quite some time (ever?) and will certainly fill a role on our team. Absolutely not a Walker/Mast stretch 5 guy, or a guy to put it on the floor and drive. It's all drop down's and lobs. But he plays hard, knows his role, has great instincts on drives, etc...

UConn had that dude Samson Johnson who would come in for 10-15 minutes and basically dunk the ball, grab a few boards, block a few shots and make a few fouls.

At worst, Meah can offer that for us. He is an explosive jumper for his size. Worster is an elite passer. I can see a couple pick and roll lob dunks coming every game.

I like this addition a lot, assuming he is not in our starting lineup.

Interesting that we have two former Pac-12 rivals and an Iowa and a Wisconsin guy all coming in to play for us next year.  I wonder if this will be the most "we used to be rivals and now we're teammates" team in the country next season?

Don't forget Rutgers.  We might be the most booed team on the road in conference games.  And, we still have two more scholarships available.  🙂

When's the last time we had a rim protector? I think that really stood out as a weakness in the tournament game for example

Isaiah Roby. Otherwise, it was Ffriend

An underclassmen PF away from this being a really fun and LONG roster. Not sure when the last time was we could roll out 2 6’10” plus guys and 4-5 6’6” plus guys was

Not all at the same time, mind you. That'd be 7 guys on the court to "roll out..."
