Almost every program will suffer once that coach departs. Wooden from UCLA, Bear from Alabama, Meyer from DePaul, Dr. Tom from Nebraska, Knight from Indiana, Miles from Nebraska...just to name a few. Hey, San Jose State did just beat Air Force last night by 30 and are up to #113 in Kenpom (just 19 spots below us). Largest margin of victory in a Mountain West Conference game in school history, by the way. He may not be HOF material, but let's take it easy on the guy huh? Too bad Miles had to start learning how to coach without Craig Smith by his side . . . at Nebraska. Apparently, he has learned how to do that. Quote

The Aztecs went on a 24-3 run to end the first half and start the second (11 minutes) and a 13-0 run from the 5 minute mark to 2 minute mark. Other than that 14 minute stretch it was a pretty even contest... Still, they're having their best season in a very long time at San Jose St. Swan88 1 Quote

Chuck Taylor Posted January 31, 2023 Report Posted January 31, 2023 I looked at the first page of this thread and saw Nate Oats, Shaka Smart and TJ Otzelberger recommended to replace Miles. Pretty smart people here! huskerbill85, Cowboy Kermit, HB and 1 other 1 1 2 Quote

aphilso1 Posted February 2, 2023 Report Posted February 2, 2023 Travis Ford is a sneaky good option. Dude has a very high floor as his teams are always pretty good. Maybe he hasn't shown that he can be a high ceiling coach with a great team sprinkled in once in a while, but I think most of us would take a coach who consistently has his teams post-season eligible. I heard/read someone mention one of the Purdue assistants, maybe it was on here, IDK... Brandon Brantley looks interesting. Edited February 3, 2023 by uneblinstu basketballjones 1 Quote
